THey should make a fpga mame console.

It would be a amazing idea if they just make a fpga mame console. It would be alot of work getting all those arcades, sure. But maybe we can get a working arcade perfect version of mvc 2 that way.
Mame arcades and popular these days anyways. Stick one of those in one of those custom arcade cabinets and call it a day. Or just hook it up to your tv.

It took years to implement the handful of chips of a console. The MAME emulates HUNDREDS of different chips. Do the math.

Ohh ok. I was thinking each core just puts the code of each chip in the fpga for that system then just replaces all that data if another core gets opened. I really don't know much about fpga or coding, just a thought. I hope it gives some guy idea's so it can make it happen.

Yes you should be able to change the core depending on what game you want to play. Google FPGA mame.
