Is it thicker than the official GBA PCBs?

It matters because the cartridge slots where only made to take in PCBs of a specific width, if you force in and force out a PCB that is thicker than what the cartridge slot is supposed to receive it will lead to wear and damages pretty quickly.

If the width of PCB would be thicker and it would wear and damage the slot of the console you would see a lot of angry people with damaged slots.
Or at least few customers.
So far we can see only such questions.

One can take a caliper(a width measuring tool) and measure the width of the original cartridge and the width of EverDrive GBA and he/she would find that they are absolutely the same.
By the way the lengths are the same as well. It's really strange that nobody cares about the length...

Tx that's all I wanted to know, but just to be on the safe side I'd rather just keep the cartridge in there and never remove it, so I was wondering do you know if it's possible and safe to leave the GBA EverDrive inside a DS Phat cartridge slot while at the same time inserting DS cartridges to play DS games?

The EverDrive-GBA X5 is taller than the original PCBs? But that doesn't matter though, the issue is only cosmetical and I don't care if it sticks out a little or not as this won't damage anything.

It’s about as tall as a Boktai cart. Sticks out about a 1 cm, won’t fit in a tight case but won’t cause any issues playing.

Width Length is the same though so it’s not forcing too wide of a board into the slot. It’s a beautiful piece of tech. Hoping someday that x7 adds in micro rumble or solar sensors or both.

This is not an issue (at least for me), there are 2 options: 1. Just buy the Boktai originals and that's it (it's only 2 games afterall) 2. Apply the solar sensor hacked patch to the ROMs (this way you can just adjust the light sensor with L and R), btw Boktai 3 was only released in Japan but there is an english patch that was released.

It’s a beautiful piece of tech.

True, it's really useful as I won't have to ruin myself getting 30-70 GBA games especially the very expensive ones (same for the other consoles, particulary the SNES), not to mention I can keep the EverDrive cartridge in there and won't have to remove it each time I want to change games, which will help preventing wears.

There are three boktai games And the third has an English patch now. Would love to mess around with it with actual gameplay without having to worry about the patches/hacks for no sensors.

If I’m going to buy x7 it better have more features than x5. More than simply a smaller case.

Same goes with using boktai sensors for DS game Lunar Knights if it’ll work. Each sensor functioned differently with it to give three different features to the game.

Also there is the fact I can have all three games in one place and protect my other two real ones in my collection.

Technically we don't know what x7 features will be.
