Misadventures of Flink
« on: April 19, 2018, 06:07 AM »
I tried to load a save state on a Master System game called Misadventures of Flink and it messed up the picture making it unplayable. i asked Krikzz and he tested it and it worked fine on that game, so what's the problem here? I tried a couple different ROMs and no luck. So also, what is the best site to download the ROM from?

Flink is for the Mega Drive (EU/JP name for Genesis), not Master System. It's a EU PAL game, so it may not work correctly on NTSC.

Ya I meant Mega Drive, not Master System. That was a mistake. But ya, no ROM works on the save state.

Perhaps Krikzz is testing in a (PAL) Mega Drive and you have a Genesis?
Try getting "no-intro" roms.
And so I go fast.

There's nothing wrong with the Mega EverDrive x7. Some games just don't respond well when using the in-game menu, Flink just happens to be one of those games, I tested it on my Mega EverDrive x7 on a PAL console and it glitched out when I brought up the in-game menu.

Off the top of my head these games go glitchy on screen when bringing up the in-game menu.

1. Flink
2. Shinobi III
3. Lemmings
4. Wonderboy In Monsterworld
5. Megaman The Wily Wars
6. Zool Ninja Of The Nth Dimension and probably more...

That's the second time Krikkz has said a game worked flawlessly with the in-game menu when it doesn't.
