Could be! It was just very noticeable :-)
The intro music sounded fine to me. Moving the selector around when typing in a name for a new save had a little noise thats not there on the real hardware, but thats a lot harder to notice.
Ran into the A/B error too when saving the new game, though it did eventually go through. I don't recall this happening on older pre v20 firmware. It's at least not consistent with original hardware.
Nope, that did not happen in prior versions, but it does not pose any issues. The little error pops up now because of the ability to delay the automatic switching of disk sides.
In all prior versions of the firmware, it was impossible to watch the full introductions to any FDS game with the Everdrive. The OS would automatically switch sides of the disk for you.
With the updated version, if you hold select as the game is launching, as long as you hold select the OS will not switch sides for you. Release the select button on controller 1 and in a short while it will auto switch once more.
The side effect is this weird A B Error 7 thing that pops up. If you just wait a little bit, however, it will proceed as normal and will save as normal.
If possible to "fix" this that would be great, but if not I would much rather have this right now than the auto-switch.
