@Krikzz
Maybe if you buy a cheapest generic SD card with no brand you could reproduce the errors?

LoL

If that would be the case.
Wouldn't be a better alternative getting a better SD card?

That's not the point.
It's just an idea for him to find what's causing the errors.
I'm already using Kingston and Sandisc brand but still having IO Errors randomly.
And yes I did all the steps to not get fragmented files. And the problem cannot be the SD cards since OS 16 works flawlessly.

@KRIKzz

Another better example of the FDS audio in Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa Level 2:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/ckb2e6zl4k17mom/Bio+Level+2+-+Nestopia+vs+AVFamicom%2BRC1.zip

One of the instrument on the AV Famicom+RC1 sounds exactly 2 octaves higher in pitch than Nestopia.
That may give you a clue how to fix the envelope/modulation (bending) effect in your FDS audio.

EDIT:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdSnG9U4UYg

This video is how the real FDS sounds in Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa.
Note that the Kick and Snare sounds completely missing from all emulator I tried.

That's the cartridge version without FDS audio. As far as I know, the FDS version doesn't have the easy mode.

You are absolutely right!
I will remove the misleading information.

Strangely enough, the cartridge version sounds better than the FDS version.

I've now tried a 2gb, 4gb, 8gb with the v20 RC1.  All stuck at INIT OS.  I've tried 2 computers, a laptop and desktop.  Formatted multiple times, re-downloaded the RC1 file multiple times.  I'm only putting 1 file in the ROM folder, not my whole library.

I'm not sure what to try next.

What cluster size you formatting at?

4096, 16k, nothing seems to make a difference.  I've formatted with the windows 7 utility and sdformatter.  Full overwrite format, not quick.

v16 and earlier versions load up no problem.

Formatting with 32kb clusters seems okay now.
I just drag all the folders together to the SD.
I don't experience errors with RC1, not as much as with Beta1.

I'm not seeing 32k as an option.  I've checked the windows format tool and minitool partition manager.

what brand/size sd card are you using?

Hi! Lovely update. Great to have more mappers supported. And FDS audio has improved quite a bit!

I haven't done extensive testing but there is one thing that stood out to me. The sword blast in Zelda 1 sounds a lot better now, but the sound seems to be inconsistent?

This is what it sounds like on real famicom disk system hardware:

This is what it sounds like on Everdrive N8 with v20 RC1

That is definitely a modulation bug.
I think it is the very same issue that causes wrong pitch in other games.

Could be! It was just very noticeable :-)

The intro music sounded fine to me. Moving the selector around when typing in a name for a new save had a little noise thats not there on the real hardware, but thats a lot harder to notice.

Ran into the A/B error too when saving the new game, though it did eventually go through. I don't recall this happening on older pre v20 firmware. It's at least not consistent with original hardware.

Nope, that did not happen in prior versions, but it does not pose any issues.  The little error pops up now because of the ability to delay the automatic switching of disk sides.

In all prior versions of the firmware, it was impossible to watch the full introductions to any FDS game with the Everdrive.  The OS would automatically switch sides of the disk for you.

With the updated version, if you hold select as the game is launching, as long as you hold select the OS will not switch sides for you.  Release the select button on controller 1 and in a short while it will auto switch once more.

The side effect is this weird A B Error 7 thing that pops up.  If you just wait a little bit, however, it will proceed as normal and will save as normal.

If possible to "fix" this that would be great, but if not I would much rather have this right now than the auto-switch.

One bug I found.  I have "Reset to Game: OFF" in the options.  When in a game and I press reset, it does not go back to the menu.  It says "OS Init..." and then disappears and the menu doesn't come up (just stays on black screen).  I must power cycle the console to get the menu to appear.

Volume control for expansion audio is awesome by the way.

Hello, since installing any of the Beta or RC versions, I have had this error occur on loading points in Zelda II.

https://clips.twitch.tv/AnnoyingRespectfulQueleaCharlietheUnicorn

It pops up and said A B SIDE ERR 07

It did not do this on the last stable release. Must be something changed in FDS code somewhere that causes this.
