RC7, MMC3 fix works great, no extra glitches and no freezes here.

It seems it didn't load correctly for me. Settings didn't reset when I updated.

Every time you change something in EDFC folder, do a format, take that as a rule.
The glitches are there on the original carts too, the intention was to bring MMC3 to it's previous state on the N8, which KRIKzz did.

I did make sure to delete the EDFC before putting the new one on the drive that's usually enough for it to work. The glitches I was referring to were the extended line on Mega Man 3 and the other things you mentioned in previous posts. I didn't feel the need to explain myself like I do now. I'm aware there are glitches on the original carts, but I'm referring to the things like the extended line in Mega Man 3 and the odd title screen in Little Ninja Brothers.

Quote
Little Ninja Brothers has few pixels flickering in the title screen and gameplay that were not there on V16 or emulators.
Mega Man 3 has additional pixels flickering in the stage select screen that differ to what was in v16 and emulators.

What you do not understand about the word FORMAT?

I'm formatting right now. And I have re-formatted a few times before when I had issues.

Edit: I did a full reformat and I'm still having the same issues with RC7. Sorry I got frustrated.

I tested on the AVS. I'll check the AV Famicom to see if I'm having the same issue.

Edit: Checked on AV Famicom. Glitches fixed on AV Famicom and no lockups. It only locks up on AVS. I also tested the nes.goondocks.se Vs. Excitebike AC hack on AV Famicom (which uses Mapper 99). Still showing the same graphical glitches that shown up since the first OS v20 beta. It ran fine on OS v16.

I can confirm that.
Mapper 99 has graphical glitches in v20.

Mapper 99 responsible for VS. games.

Easiest one to test is "VS. Super Mario Bros. (VS).nes" can be found in GoodNES.

Thank you for all your work on the FDS audio and for fixing the A B SIDE ERR 07 in Zelda II. Absolutely loving RC7!

Hi all, I'm the king of slackers (2 posts in 6 years!) but it's really the time for me to pop up and say a huge THANK YOU to Krikkz and to this amazing forum community. I bought my Everdrive N8 Famicom months ago for my Twin Famicom but never dwelved into FDS games because of the sound. Now every game is a rediscover, Gyruss FDS with appropriate volume tweak is just mindblowing... And Upa, and those other Namco and VRC7 chip... Wow. It feels like the golden age of software emulators twenty years ago - but on proper hardware.

I'm having the same I/O problem many are experiencing, but luckily I managed to find one working SD card out of 5. Difference seems mostly about access speed (this one, brandless, is 8gb and faster, the other ones 1-4 gb and slower). Sometimes still some I/O error when I scroll very fast thru' the game list.
All my SDs worked fine with v16. Even with no sorters, defragmenters, putting the system folder first etc.

But still! It's a dream coming true. Again, THANK YOU for the extra effort you are pouring to improve your great products, Krikkz.

B.

I'd definitely buy a refresh of the edn8 with built-in hardware solutions like this.

With RC7 version, after hold button reset or push reset to OS menu - black screen.  Need turn off then turn on console (P.S. hmmm, now works fine, don't understand what a problem)

About FDS audio core, now feels good like from original FDS

With Mapper 99, it only seems that the sprites are incorrect.

@KRIKzz

FDS audio in Falsion when starting a game was okay in RC3, but broke in RC4.
It seems that the Metroid fix has changed something slightly in Falsion.
Please have a look into this, it might be the last FDS audio bug.
You are very close to perfect FDS audio with v20.
