Yep, James's video is exactly what i was referring to, so it is confirmed that the N8 is outputting incorrect audio for the sounds in Adventure Island, so far from what i've gathered, the music is slightly out of tune but not by much, and the weapon powerup sounds when you throw them is off. I compared them several times and it's there for sure.

Great.  Thanks James-F for the video evidence there.  Not trying to say that you were wrong AkumajouBelmondo86, but documentation and evidence is always the best thing.  :)

So it turns out we might not don't have ALL the expansion chips emulated. There's two PCM chips by Jaleco, and one by Bandai.

All of their mappers are supported, the Bandai one uses Mapper 3, and the two by Jaleco on Mappers 18, 72, 86, and 92, all of which are supported.

http://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.php/List_of_games_with_expansion_audio (Scroll down to the bottom of the page)

Are these chips supported by any chance by their respective mappers?

@KRIKzz

What was changed in RC7 for MMC3?
After careful testing and comparison videos, it may be that the RC6 MMC3 (from Beta1) is more accurate after all and the RC7 changes are not needed.
Can you please share what is the minor update you did to MMC3 in Beta1?

Which hardware? On RC7, a few games crashed on AVS, but were fine on AV Famicom (haven't tested the top loading NES).

No crash for me on resistor-modded front-loader NES.  Got to stage 3.

Also, finally tested my real Mega Man 3 cart, and the line on the stage select screen extends to the same spot, apparently.  My memory is busted, I guess; the MMC3 may be fine in this case, as noted earlier.

I agree, the RC7 MMC3 fix is not needed.

The flickering pixel appears on Magnet Man frame on the real cart too.
Here are a few youtube links to confirm that:

The said pixel is marked in red here (on Magnet Man frame):

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried Shinsenden yet?  The translated version, not the original.  I'm pretty sure I'm still on RC6, don't know if anything changed for RC7 or if the problem is even with the EDN8.  It's an MMC1 game, according to the database.  The text boxes don't show anything during the intro.  The Japanese version seems to work fine, and the game also displays correctly in emulators such as Nestopia.

I confirm that Shinsenden [T+ENG Aishsha] freezes at the first dialog box at the start of the game.
KRIKzz did fix something in MMC1 in RC3 that was broken.
Does this freeze happen in v16?

I'm playing on the Twin Famicom.
