copy v1.8.0 on your SD cart and THEN the sa1 update. Then your question will be answered

I do this and the screen is black. What it is happening?

Thanks.

Are the files all in the sd2snes folder? I had an issue a few weeks back where it wasn't working because I accidentally copied the files into "/sd2snes/sd2snes/" instead of just "/sd2snes/".

The files all are in the sd2snes folder.
I've tried to do this a lot of times and I can't get it: one time doing the copy over the previous 1.7d firmware files... another time deleting the 1.7d firmware and beginning with the copy of 1.8 firmware directly...

The files that I put are:
- bsxbios.bin (BS-X BIOS.smc is into)
- bsxpage.bin....18/09/2016
- firmware.........26/06/2018
- fpga_base.bit..22/06/2018
- fpga_cx4.bit...26/06/2018
- fpga_gsu.bit...28/06/2018
- fpga_obc1.bit..28/06/2018
- menu.bin.......25/06/2018
- dsp1.bin
- dsp1b.bin
- dsp2.bin
- dsp3.bin
- dsp4.bin
- st0010.bin
- st0011.bin
...adn doesn't works

it's very simple.

  • (optional) backup saves residing in target sd card
  • format sd card, OR delete the sd2snes folder from the root of sd card
  • copy folder sd2snes in 1.8.0 archive and paste it to the root of the sd card
  • copy folder sd2snes in this beta archive and paste it to the root of the sd card, replace/overwrite all

Don't strip out the sd2snes root folder, all the stuff goes in there and it won't work if you mess with the structure of the file paths.  I don't think they would include that in the archives if it does nothing but mess people up and is not required to be that way!

Please, clarify one thing. The fourth step is to paste the contents of the sd2snes folder of SA1 inside the sd2snes folder of the SD card, right? Because if I paste the sd2snes folder SA1 directly on the SD card, then there will be two sd2snes folders on the SD card.

On he other hand, the text readme of the SA1 says "Verify you have a working copy of the base 1.8.0 firmware before applying the sa1 changes" and I don't get it.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm desperate.

Dear lee4, thanks in advance for your help.

I buy last year sd2snes at Ebay, but I don't know which reversion is (How can I find out).

The older firmware work. It seems that the SD card is not damaged, because after trying to upgrade to firmware 1.8, I re-paste version 1.7d and operate the console.

I'm trying to make the diagnosis. I have copied the files to the sd2snes root of the SD card and replaced the previous ones files. I have read the instructions. More than 2 minutes have passed and these lights do not appear on the flashcard and the screen shows normality showing the s2dsnes menu. I have the impression that I do not do well the pasting of the files on the SD card, because it does not seem that the diagnostic is running.

What opinion do you have?

pd. If you prefeer, we should talk by message because moderators are saying to me that this is not the issue of that forum.

Open your sd2snes and take pictures of both sides, maybe its a clone?
Run diagnostic firmware and post results here as pictures.
And take pictures of the root of your sdcard and inside the sd2snes folder so we can check it.
