I have a Famicom version N8, so this is exactly what it would look like for me. All the time. So stupid. I'll lose some nice audio if I use an adapter and the NES slot, yes? I can't afford the pure unobtanium Mini NT, and don't want to butcher my pristine AV Famicom with a mod. Fug.

A Dremmel would likely do the trick quite nicely as well.

Making a door cutout is a good idea, but making this thing better at actually accommodating both cart types really shouldn't require such drastic modification. It would've been a simple matter for RetroUSB to include a spring loaded flap-door in the lid for Famicom carts.
