Hi there,

First of all, thank you very much to ikari_01, RedGuy and everyone involved in this new v1.9.0 firmware, as SA-1 compatibility is a great milestone in SD2SNES history (in the same way SFX compatibility was just several months ago). This is so impressive! :-)

However, I'd like to report an issue with this latter firmware. Satellaview ROM compatibility seems to have lost again, since when trying to load these games a 'BS-X Error 09: Memory Pack Error' shows up. This is the same as it occurred with v0.1.7e firmware, then fixed in v1.8.0, which I reported here one and a half year ago:
https://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=6595.0

Has anyone else been experimenting this issue?
@ikari_01 , Would you consider checking this issue for a next firmware revision, please?

I'm using a Super Famicom with an SD2SNES Rev. F. My System Information screenshot with FW v1.9.0, in case it helps:

Thank you very much in advance!

Cheers!

Could be related to the change:

"Disable Satellaview emulation when a real Satellaview base unit is detected to avoid bus fighting and facilitate Satellaview development"

Not sure how this will affect people on Super NT or not, or how it causes any other issues w/people

Maybe, but the same happened with FW v0.1.7e which didn't include such new feature. In addition, there are a number of users not suffering from this issue, what indicates it only occurs in some console/SD2SNES versions.

But shouldn't it still be addressed? A problem in a few users is still a problem.

Yes, it was. Adressed and fixed on v1.8.0, but seems to be back now. Let's see what @ikari_01 says....

No bad dumps, as they've been working on all previous firmwares (except v0.1.7e, as said).

Yeah, that error is a real one. I mean, it occurs when you have a bad dump. But this is not the case, as the same ROMs were normally working great. Here the problem seems to be related to some SD2SNES FW releases and only on certain console & SD2SNES revisions.

"they worked before" does not mean good dumps

...But it DOES indeed mean a loss of compatibility.
