The third revision of Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2 Freem Edition is now out.

ChangelogWebsite

VF=3 is required for the 'SAVE_DB.TXT' file in order to save your progress!

Also to note, please do not sell reproduction carts of Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2 Freem Edition. This is against the author's wishes.

Very cool, though having wrestlers from the 2000's included doesn't really jive!

I am liking the progress! I asked for some help on the freem edition discord and he was able to point me to some debugging tools which allowed me to come up with some cheat codes on No Mercy.

Okay so I'm hoping someone can help me with this.  I have a save file for this freem version that I've been working on.  I've been using Mupen64, and it's saving as a 32kb sram file.  I'm trying to take the save and put it on my everdrive64 v3, andit will not recognize the save.  I even tried byteswapping the sram to a flash128 and it's still not recognizing my save file.  Hell, I've even put in the .bak file and still no luck.  I've put so many hours of work into this save, I just want to play it on my everdrive v3.  Can someone help me with this?  :'(

See Saturnu's thread about converting emu saves. See this thread for an alternate download link. If they're both down, I'll might put up the program on my dropbox just in case.

Otherwise I'm not sure what to say; it's been a while since I've tried to convert saves - they're a bit of an palava to begin with.

Edit: Glad to hear you got it working now, BlueCanti!

That's the thing, I've tried this program and swapped the save back to from 32 kb to flash(128), and it's still not recognizing the save.

"If the Everdrive is unable to save progress, try putting 'VF=3' in the 'SAVE_DB.TXT' file. That worked for me."

Thank you soo much for this!

Thank you so much! I have tried multiple things and played through a bit each time only to start over. This time I just tried changing a part in the games Edit mode to see and it saved it. Much appreciation!!!

Feel free to use these updated save file. The roster is edited with additional NXT, AEW and NJPW guys.

Emulator version - https://www.mediafire.com/file/6og4l8tns9syetx/VPW2_freem_%28unknown_rom%29.sra/file

Everdrive version - https://www.mediafire.com/file/vrj0nv9k2fdk9vv/VPW_Freem_ED_BASE.srm/file

Make sure the save file matches what you named the game exactly.

I don't see why it shouldn't work on a 2.5.
