This really saddens me to read that the new super everdrive x5 has the same io error problems like all other krikzz flashcarts.
Take note that krikzz or his staff usually do not reply to these posts, this is the quality support we are getting.  :'(

These SD card errors are too common. :(

Same here!

First time EverDrive owner.  Copied the v1.01 OS to SD card... I can start any game fine, but once I reset the SNES, I get the error from your first post.

Changed OS to v1.00; now everything works fine after resetting SNES.

Does anyone know what bugs were fixed between v1.00 and v1.01?  If it's minor enough I will probably just stick with this solution.

It's not really too common for that happen as the only time I would run into it is when the SRAM folder is full of games you have previously played so think of it like when you go back to see what game has already loaded up. The device no matter which one will always remember the past game so always remember to clean you SAV files every once in a while and this topic sums it up - http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=8958.0

I know this is an older thread, but this is my experience.  Stock SNES (original owner), stock power supply.
Purchased a Super Everdrive X5.
Purchased a 32GB Sandisk microSD and loaded images + operating system 1.02.
It worked fine from a cold boot, but resetting the machine produced an SDCard error C0, card not ready.  Required me to cycle power to select another game.
I recapped my SNES and it now works as expected, i.e. I can reset my SNES with the reset switch and it returns to the menu without any errors.
This suggests that, my problem at least, was dying filter capacitors on the motherboard power supply.

I’m experiencing this exact error on reset too with the Super Everdrive X5. As described it works fine on v1.00 but not on v1.01 or v1.02.

I have a new SanDisk Ultra 32gb microSD formatted as fat32 and have experimented with different cluster sizes and full vs quick formatting with no effect.

I’ve tested on an unmodified PAL SNES and also a Super Famicom which has had a full recap and superCIC installed. The error is there on both.

Here’s hoping for a fix for v1.03  :)

Quick update for those in this thread still experiencing the issue. KRIKzz just released an OS fix for the reset error. I tried it out this morning and it works great!
