GB Emulation on N64 Everdrive
« on: May 01, 2019, 02:26 AM »
Hi,

I downloaded GNUBOY64 1.1 (which I found from a previous post) for the N64 Everdrive.  Has anyone used this emulator before?  Once unzipped, all that was contained was a V64 file.  I was hoping someone could shed some light on how this emulator works and how it's set up.  I downloaded the emulator for the GG and that emulator link contained all the GG games which had been converted to N64 file format.  I was thinking the games are added into the emulator program?  Or do I just copy this file onto the SD card along with GB and GBC games?  Any help is much appreciated!  Thanks!

Like this:

SD://ED64/gnuboy64.v64
SD://gnuboy/games/ (where the gameboy games go)
SD://gnuboy/saves/ (for saving)

Then select the gnuboy64.v64 and launch it and it should show the list of games that's in the games folder.

I am just now learning about the Game Boy emulator on the Everdrive, that's awesome!!

I tried setting it up exactly like supersign said to. But I keep getting an error, reading:

"CRITICAL ERROR
Could not load BG!

PRESS Z TO REBOOT
PRESS Cr TO TAKE SCREENSHOT"

What should I do to go about fixing this? Thank you in advance

I'm using Gnuboy64 from Saturnu's compilation pack in this forum which has a readme to set it up. It's working on my end. I forgot to mention that it needs a special file to get it to work I think...?
