did try run the diagnostic for sd2snes pro?
For an SD2SNES Pro make sure you use this diagnostic firmware, as Ikari's download webpage doesn't have the right one listed yet for the Pro series:

Test results on the SD2SNES are all good.  Have you run the burn in cart ROM yet?

Would you check if turning on the setting "Reset patch for clock phase" in the In-game settings helps?

I would try upgrading the voltage regulator to a 78S05, as it supports up to 2A output current, unlike the standard 7805, which only goes up to 1A.

I have resolved the challenge (sort of) sorry for taking so long to get back.

I bought a beat up SNES from an Auction in town and removed the main board from the broken chassis and replaced mine. It works fine in the new board so it has to be a cap issues but I'm to lazy right now to resolve it.

One day I'll recap the whole board and retest.

I'm also having graphical glitches.  I was playing the translation of Dual Orb 2 and after about 20 - 30 minutes graphics start glitching during battles.  Also, can anyone else check out Human Grand Prix II?  That game glitches like crazy for me with the SD2SNES pro, but runs perfectly with the super powerpak.  It's the Japanese version of F1 Pole Position 2 (goodsnes 3.32).  F1 Pole Position 2 is the European version so if you have an NTSC console you might want to try the other one.

And for what it's worth my SNES is a North American SNS-001 model with a separate sound board.  It's been recapped, has a 2A voltage regulator, and  and has a 470uf cap added across the voltage regulator.  It handles every other piece of hardware I use on it perfectly, even the power hungry SNES Powerpak.

Well some good news... its not the cart!

I was able to pull out my Super Famicom to test and it works fine... So the question is what is causing the issue on my NA SNES.

I tested all the capacitance of every cap and they are all fine. I can replace them all but I would rather not since I don't have SMD style Caps on hand for this if its a one off I don't mind redoing it.

Does anyone know what Cap maybe causing the issue? It appears to only happen on some types of graphics so I would assume its power not reaching the SD2SNES for one of its chips to display things correctly.

ideas?

I seen problems like that  with original sd2snes  + pal snes which were used with famicom PSU (their PSU is compatible, bye the way).  At same time regular games worked fine. Not sure if this story also about problems with power supply, but at least it looks like that.

My original SNES (1991) always had problems with SD2SNES, so I got one from 1993-94 era, and it ran much better.

to me it was the complete opposite. The translated version of tactics ogre kept giving me problems on my sned mini, so I sold it and now use the sd2snes on a shvc model, 0 issues.
