Just bought an Everdrive 64 X7 from supply4demand808
« on: September 25, 2019, 12:08 PM »
And I installed the v3 OS and some roms on the microSD card, inserted it and booted up the game, and it says it has a low battery? My understanding is that this literally just came out. It said I can replace the battery, which is a CR2032.

Do I just need a hex tip screwdriver to open it? What size screwdriver do I need?

I don’t know if it’s the cause of your problem, but the X7 OS is different from the v3 OS. I think you should try the X7 software. The link is on this page - https://krikzz.com/store/home/55-everdrive-64-x7.html

Message about the battery popup just once or it repeats? You will take such message if RTC is not initialized, but battery actually may ok if message not appears again and again. They all should be factory initialized, but things may happen. Anyway cart will reinit RTC after detecting it fails

Now I find myself craving an EverDrive 64 X7 just in case my v2.5 ever fails.  ;D

Why no X7 vs v3 comparison?
