Compatibility with other DB9 consoles/computers

Hi Krikzz, is it possible to make the controller compatible with C64 Atari2600/800/XE Commodore MSX... ?

I am using regular 6 buttons joysticks for each, I would love to have one to rule them all !

Is there any Windows/Linux compatibility with mayflash adapter ?

I  got the Joyzz today and it doesn't work directly on my C64 and Amiga. But if i plug the 64JPX adapter in the game port, together with the reiceiver, it works.  On the Amiga though you can't use the separate second button then, which works normally with a wired MD controller.

It also works fine in PC emulation with one of the MD to USB adapter. I bougth this Retro-Bit adapter a few years ago.

Probably works with the Mayflash too. Though a new PC receiver would be nice. It will surely have slighly less input lag. But it can't complain about mine. Works good enough for now.

I have tried with the mayflash adapter, no luck, buttons behave strangely.

Could it be updated to work with these adapters in future firmwares ?

Got my Sega Mega Drive to Amiga adapter today and  it works perfectly fine with the Joyzz. It maps the Amiga CD32 button layout to a Sega 6-button pad. Yeah, wireless Amiga gaming.

I know what causes the problem on old computers with standard db9 joyports.  The Mega Drive pad has the pins 5 and 7 reversed. Wired Sega Mega Drive controllers mostly have no problem with it but via wireless MD adapter it's problematic. They don't get the power from the right pin on your Amiga or C64, 2600 probably too.  The fastest fix for that would be a plain adapter, which has all pins straight through connected and 5+7 swapped. And that's why i don't have problems with my mentioned adapters because they already have the pinout for 5 and 7 swapped.

Or get the mentioned PJX64 if you can't solder. Same goes for the newer 8bitdo M30 controller, 2.4g version.

Can you just make a simple adapter for PCE to wireless controller transmitter? I want one, but I can't tolerate all that stuff hanging off my PCE.

  It comes with an extension cable, but I understand the need for simplicity.  I've been toying around with the idea of doing a redesign just for PCE.  However, it would probably only be 30% or so smaller. 

The reason it is large is because it uses actual 1980s hardware - no microcontrollers are used. If you use a microcontroller, you introduce lag (and possible bugs, and are lifting the code from someone else likely), which is already being caused by the wireless conversion.  Currently, I only make lag-free controller adapters.

So long as it's one unit without interconnects, that's the main thing.. I have enough things precariously plugged into each other as it is.. really hate screwing with things when all I want to do is play.

Any cost reduction would be welcome also.

I understand, these are goals of mine as well   btw, the current setup can be permanently soldered together as well (if you want PCE only, unlike the request of OP.  I've done this on request for customers in the past).

One of the reasons the price is a little more is because I don't have the boards made in Chinese sweatshops. I design, assemble, and solder all boards in house with professional tools. Part of the added cost is the peace of mind knowing that you're classic gaming love is not supporting slave labor.  It makes me love and appreciate the work I do so much more

  As a result, I'm also able to put each board through a rigorous 3-stage quality assurance testing under a microscope and I'm able to spot any minute production issues with the same eyes that engineered the boards.  It's higher quality than some mass produced things you might find elsewhere.

I understand why the price is a little more.. I'm only talking about the savings realized from eliminating redundant parts on the boards when combining them, and not having to make 2x PCBs, cases, etc.

One other cool idea I had would be if there could be a board that connected (probably a wire soldered) to the pause button on the mega everdrive that enabled remote pause via wireless controller.

Even though they aren't for me just yet.. I'm glad your products exist and am looking forward to future developments.
