How many of you have a Super Everdrive v2?
« on: May 20, 2020, 10:36 AM »
I got one on the way- do you guys like it? I didn't plan on I think the first games I'll put on there are some of the 'unobtainables' like Hagane and Aero Fighters. I've never played either one. I plan on buying as many games as I can so I couldn't justify an SD2SNES.

I have the original Krikzz first version that used to have that iconic bar that went across the screen to load the roms up, the V1 which omitted it for a kb/s graph and the v2 that included the extra chips.

Of all of them the 1st one will always be the iconic one I grew up with eventhough it vastly improved over the years...

Oh yeah I also own two versions of the SD2SNES one being a ebay chinese one and the other being a legit Retrotowers one aswell.

I have the new x5 series and I absolutely love it. Sure, the compatibility is an issue for a small amount of games, but I end up playing so many other games, I tend to forget about it! Hagane is also on my drive and that's one of the big reasons I play it as well. The big downside for me is the lack of Mega Man X series support unless you go with the higher end model, but you have to ask yourself whether that significant jump in cost is actually worth it when 95% of the library is fully compatible plus rom hacks and all that jazz.
