You sure? For me, Goomba is saving the SRAM to the X5 wihtout no issue. I've tested it with Super Mario Land 2 and Kirby Dream Land 2. Same goes for Pocketnes. I can store and resume the few games that I've tested so far without further action on my side. X5 manages it all, just like a GBA game.

Hi there,

I've found that the RTC settings are not consistent across games.

Pokémon titles doesn't share the RTC settings across different versions, and even breaks the settings for other games like Boktai (resetting the time back to 01/01/2001).

Also, setting the RTC on Boktai, adds a year in the OS diagnostic screen (i.e.: putting 2016 in Boktai settings, shows 2017 in the diagnostic screen). And, of course, loading a Pokémon title after Boktai, doesn't keep the time settings. And, after that, if you load Boktai again, the RTC settings are back to default (01/01/2001).

Is this normal? Whith Boktai 1 there is no big deal, since the in-game settigns allows you to configure the time and date. But Boktai 2 only allows to change this settings during the first start (as far as I know).

Would be possible to add in a future OS update an option to change (and check) the RTC settings through the OS menu? :)

EDIT: Pokémon games only resets the RTC settings on the initial clock setup just after starting a new game (I assume that is when the game writes the time you put into the clock on the RTC). If a previous saved game is loaded, the RTC settings remains as it was before launching the game.
BUT, in every case, if you load a previous saved game, and even if the RTC settings are OK in the OS Diagnostic screen, the Pokémon in-game clock shows some random time (or maybe the time stored in the saved game... I don't really know), instead of showing the time stored in the RTC.

I just noticed that the Quick Boot feature on my EverDrive X5 was off, so I've been sitting through the splash screen of the GBA every time I load a game for the past few weeks. I turned it on in the options menu, and now games open up right away after being loaded.

Is there any reason NOT to have Quick Boot turned on?

Maybe certain games could present some glitches or incompatibilities (or even not work at all) with the Quick Boot turned on.
If you run into some weird glitch or issue, try to turn off the Quick Boot before going nuts testing thousand of other options.

So far, I didn't find any game which is causing problems with the Quick Boot (maybe, the real reason for this option is completely different and I'm talking shit :D )

I'm experiencing some weird cases...

I've tried a Samsung EVO UHS-1 32GB which wasn't working with v1.01... and now it behaves as follows:

With the card almost empty (only the OS file and a few roms), it works fine. But when a throw the full EU no-intro romset, the card starts to cry the SD IO Error.... I've tried also a few roms (no more than 60) with same results.

Crazy therory:
Could be that, maybe this errors are related with the file system (some kind of bug on the code that manages FAT32) instead with the cards itself?

EDIT: After putting too much files on the card, I need to re-format it using Windows in order to get it working again.

I am very happy with GBA Everdrive, but as some games are not working, I propose to keep a post with the list of these games, so the developers can review them if they want to make the linker better.

Issue :
When starting, the game tells that the save files are corrupted.
When trying to start a new game, we are asked to choose a save slot, and when validating the name of the slot, it tells "the file couldn't be created" and so , the game cannot start.
I tried other games with EEPROM save type and those are working.

I'm not having any problem with the same game (same region as well).

Have you tried the ROM packs from here?

I'm using those and, for the moment, everything that I've tried is running smoothly :)
