Monthly Updates?
« on: March 12, 2018, 03:30 PM »
Wouldn't it be a great idea to have monthly updates on what's going on in the development? They don't need to be incredibly detailed just reassuring enough that progress is being made. I mean I think something like this would be fantastic.

There has been no git commits: https://github.com/mrehkopf/sd2snes

So monthly updates would consist of nothing.

Yep. Nothing since 5/17. Put a nail in it. She’s dead.  :(

So, SD2SNES is dead? No future updates?  :-[

Nobody said the SD2SNES was dead. ikari_01 is still quite active around here, and while I'm not sure if he has been working on anything, I know redguy has implemented savestates and USB support for debugging in a custom firmware. There's also the Status page on the website promising new features in the future: https://sd2snes.de/blog/status

The SD2SNES has gone through previous points where there were no updates, and then it got updated quite a bit (such was the case from 0.1.6 to 0.1.7).

Well okay, I was curious because I believe I encountered an issue with Chrono Trigger in the latest firmware, but I'll make a video and thread for that. Save states is pretty cool.

I just played through Chrono Trigger on the latest firmware and have experienced zero issues, although I also had in game hooks turned off (which improves compatibility with some games). I do not think CT has any issues with IGH though, so I'm curious to see what the issue is.

Perhaps it'd be prudent of me to make a new thread, showing my config file (what settings I use), but I'm not using the vanilla version of the ROM. I'm using the ROM hack
called Chrono Trigger Complete, which expands the ROM from 4 MB (32 megabits Hi ROM) to 6 MB (48 megabits Ex-Hi ROM). Not sure if that has any relevance to the case.

I'll test it again, and hooks are disabled as I can simply use the Super NT to load Turrican 2 then back to the SD2SNES just fine.

edit: Well I'm an idiot >.>  Turns out that the map was at fault, that particular area in the game triggered the bug
