I had one of those (mine was north american version) back around 1990 for a while. Traded it for some ummm .... vegetation. But what was cool, thinking back on it, was the wicked set of 3D glasses I had with it. The glasses had black lcd panes over both eyes that would flicker on and off, in synch with the game as the left and right eye view were alternatively shown. Space Harrier was awesome.

I don't think the 3D glasses worked with the Model 2 SMS. In order to use the 3D glasses, you need the card slot, only available on the Model 1 SMS.

Cool find, dvd2vcd.

I would never trade something that lasts forever for something that doesn't. :)

A SMS wasn't exactly a collectible piece of gaming history in 1990. It was just obsolete. There was nothing attractive about 'retro' video gaming in those days.

In 1990 it wasn't tremendously retro, but it still had awesome games. Oh well. I sold my SMS because I had a Power Base Converter on the Genesis. I kind of wish I still had my original one.

I think it was RF only. Plus, no reset button on Model 2 and the built in game is an Alex Kidd game.

i am pretty sure it only has RF and an Alex Kidd built-in game. i had the chance to buy one for 15$ and passed it as i can't stand RF and i don't have the equipment to av mod it.
PM me if you want to sell your Everdrive MD.

I don't think it did. Only the model 1 had it. They (Sega US) wanted to streamline this model, so they eliminated the card slot and expansion port.
