You might want to do a fresh format of your SD card too.

Ok I'm dumb.  I thought the PAL Mr Gimmick has the 5B audio, but apparently it's only the Japanese one.  And Batman wasn't frozen, it just doesn't work right with my arcade stick(PS360+).  And it isn't supposed to have extra audio at all.

Thanks for the awesome mapper!

It includes the older VRC6 with less volume variations.
Download the new one provided by Slamy called 24VRC6ModV3.zip for more volume variations between 50 and 22.
*All the same name files are identical in both versions.

Edit:
*I updated same mediafire link with Slamy's new VRC6 archive.
Alright.  Which one do you think is the most authentic sounding?

I can't get this to work either.  Tried multiple version of the OS.  Mr. Gimmick lacks the 5B audio and Return of the Joker lacks the 5B audio and freezes on the first stage.

I did the extra audio mod tonight and immediately noticed all the new backgrounds noises.  The ED menu itself is very noisy.  I don't feel like installing a toggle on my NES so I just used a 100k ohm resistor instead of the 47k I first installed.  That makes it tolerable without messing up the mix.
