MED Pro - Megacolor video playback glitches, unusable
« on: March 14, 2021, 01:29 PM »
Hi,

Megacolor videos strangely don't work on my MED Pro : playback is unwatchable, glitchy
See http://www.chantrenne.net/VID_20210314_121529.mp4

I've used the converter 1.02 to create the mcv file.
First I thought the problem was related to the source video, but I've experienced exactly the same thing with every single video I tried, so it seems to be a playback problem on the MED Pro.

Has anyone experienced the same problem ? Any idea ?

Everything else seems to work fine with the MED Pro (including megadoom)
(I've got a european Megadrive I with region switch and DFO)

Would someone have a sample .mcv video to give it a try ??

Thanks to anyone who can help

Thanks for your suggestion
Tried with another good quality Sandisk SD, in extFat as well, but same result :-(

Interestingly, i noticed that flickering occurs even when I pause the video, so it's not a data access problem, but really a playback issue ? An issue with the MED's oscillator ?

PS  Diagnostics on my MED PRO all return OK

I tried with an old micro SD card (2 GB) : exactly the same result
Either my video is incorrect (but I get the same result with every video I converted) or the MED has an internal problem....

It would really help if someone had a working mcv sample video to try

I have the same thing.  The video is playable but the sound has a lot of latency.
