Mega EverDrive / Mega Everdrive X7 Save/Load

Hi,
First post here, just bought my 3rd Everdrive I have an old v2 ED64 a famicom N8 and never had a problem with either, so was happy to spend the money on the top of the range x7 for my megadrive, had it a little while now and as usual no problems at all
Just one question regarding save states on the x7, I can do Down+Start to get the menu up save the state and I'm away, but I'm curious as to how I can get it working as in this video Krikzz uploaded to youtube some years ago, the up/down+start would be awesome as I use those same button combo on my n8 to save/load... Wondering if this option is tucked away in a menu somewhere and I've not spotted it, or if it was only available on an older OS or device?

Anyway, it would be great to figure it out, if it is not possible no big loss haha I'll soon get used to doing it the other way
