EverDrive GB / Turok 1, game doesn't work
« on: June 24, 2018, 07:35 PM »
I don't know if this game has a special mapper\memory bank controller that would make it incompatible\unsupported by the everdrive gbx
the game boots and displays the logos but freezes in the language selection menu
it's the only game so far that seems to not work, clean rom verified against the no intro checksums

PS: lastest everdrive os, 1.03

title, curious about next plans for the everdrive stuff, last thing that was worked in was the master everdrive.

EverDrive GB / is there a way to force GB hybrid games in GB mode?
« on: January 25, 2018, 10:18 PM »
i have a GBA + everdrive gb x7
i wanted to fiddle and force the GB mode in the hybrid games
for example, running pokemon silver in black and white and original gb features (like it would be in a game boy pocket)

can this be maybe be achieved by game genie cheats?

EverDrive GB / first impression; about save location and save type
« on: January 16, 2018, 08:41 PM »
so i just received the everdrive gb x7 and from what i had been testing:
the save states go into the SNAP folder
and the saves + rtc info go into the SAVE folder

oddly the save states are in .sav and the saves are in .srm
i guess is just the name but got me confused firstly because every thing that i own uses .sav for the save
krikkz, can ya release an alt version of the os which uses .sav for the saves? or is too much work?

i guess i will have to rename every save for the everdrive but would be cool if it would use .sav

EverDrive GB / gbx series it's me or there is a lack of reviews?
« on: August 30, 2017, 03:54 PM »
it's been like 1 week i think, since the x series were released.. and i had been waiting until reviews come to buy the x7...
in youtube for example the only gb x series video that i found is the one uploaded by krikzz, i guess unboxing stopped to be a thing years ago but it's kinda weird...

all the review so far it's the generic useless "it arrived and it works" found in the stores

EverDrive GB / got the x7? post here ya thoughts...
« on: August 25, 2017, 09:44 PM »
so apparently some folks already got the x7, i am finding weird the lack of reviews (at least in my favorite sites lol)
so, to people who already got the x7, could you tell us about your experience so far and concerns?

(before you going further i must say this is actually another brand 10+ years old flashcart, just hope maybe this can be usefull to krikkz...)
(this is kinda a joke thread.)

I got my hands in this amazing flashcart, the awesome gba x7 Lite version.

what does the "Lite" mean? it fits a ds lite perfectly!

as you can see even has a ds lite shell that ressembles the ds lite dust cover!
this flashcart is capable of rtc, has a ingame menu (via software patch) which does support real time save! (aka snapshots)
does load 32MB roms, it's not instant, but it's not ez iv psram slow!, has stuff like video and mp3 player.. (but who cares about theese) it also supports DS mode, with DS game loading... but again, who cares about theese... ho, and rechargeable battery! (however it holds like 30 minutes charge only now, i am looking to swap it)
sadly the biggest con is no sdhc support (this card is old...)

this is an m3 perfect lite... it was the "holy grail of gba flashcarts"
the everdrive gba x5 made this card irrelevant, the everdrive is a lot better, but i am kinda upset because the x5 size (like plenty of people..)
krikkz, props to your cards usually have the sd card slot in a place where we are not required to remove the everdrive from the device to swap memory cards...
krikkz, if ya want, i can try to shoot good pictures of this card, or tell you what's written in the chips to help you in the designs of next card
but i guess that easily swapabble battery holder in the evgba x5 + top loading sd card made it the size it is...

« on: August 23, 2016, 10:24 PM »
