EverDrive GB / Re: Moving saves from old EDGB to new X7
« on: September 05, 2018, 03:19 PM »
woa thanks, i didn't knew there was the option to manually copy\load the current save..

i once struggled to copy my current save, i had to load other game, it was kinda messy, but now that i know about this, it will be much better
it sucks krikkz doesn't write a pdf manual of the everdrives, and talks about these stuff..

from what i know, you can enter 16 game genies codes in a game. and you enter them in the gameboy just before loading the game
i believe you can create the file in a pc yourself, its a simple txt, 1 code peer line XXX-XXX-XXX format

EverDrive GB / Re: Auto Loading
« on: September 05, 2018, 02:57 PM »
that's really weird, are you pressing the START button?
the START button in the menu boots the last game..
from what i know there is no auto loading function in the everdrive GB flashcarts. there is even a thread of a speedrunning asking for such option...

mSD card slot should be spring loaded unless the model B changed that
it didn't, got rev B of the x7

Update! I actually managed to get the SD card to lock in, but the trick is that you have to push it REALLY, REALLY far down for it to click! I actually had to use a small tool to get it to click down far enough. I also found a utility to force my SD card to format into FAT32. All in all, everything works as it should now.

Thanks for the responses!
yeah i also find it kinda hard to lock it in mine, have to push it with a fingernail

Sorry guys but the Everdrive GBA with solar sensor is never going to happen.

stop crushing my dreams, what about the everdrive gba x7 with tilt and gyro sensors and rumble pak??
(of course they won't happen lol)

I'm considering buying an Everdrive GB X7, but there is one piece of information I've been unable to find. When playing an original gameboy game, can you select from the GBC color palettes like when playing off a normal cartridge?
yes you can, when you select a game, it will reset booting the gbc bios which lets you choose palletes like a real gbc with an original GB game

EverDrive GB / Turok 1, game doesn't work
« on: June 24, 2018, 07:35 PM »
I don't know if this game has a special mapper\memory bank controller that would make it incompatible\unsupported by the everdrive gbx
the game boots and displays the logos but freezes in the language selection menu
it's the only game so far that seems to not work, clean rom verified against the no intro checksums

PS: lastest everdrive os, 1.03

really nice it took just 1 week to throw a fix for this guy who is trying to make a game work with your product :D

@ISSOtm i will look forward to play your game in my evgbx7 when its finished, really hope you can get a fix for your issue!

EverDrive GB / Re: GB X7 crash/freeze help
« on: June 13, 2018, 08:15 PM »

I've changed to diffrent roms and I'm still getting crashes at Metal Mans stage.

instead of switching roms, just verify the checksums against sites like
if the checksum comes as equal, certainly sure it's not the rom and replace it does nothing.

i would try to verify the checksum of that games that are giving issues and then switch to another micro sd card, see if it makes difference

the user above gave a very good advice, sometimes theese older devices due to the age, complain about being fully inserted (wear out)
if you have a proper contact cleaner it of course i would suggest to try it, but since it happens in both devices the same beahavior, i would think something is wrong with either the everdrive, or the current micro sd card

did ya try the diagnostics menu thing?

EverDrive GB / Re: How-to for GB X7
« on: June 13, 2018, 08:06 PM »
i know that feeling :C
i was kinda sad when i got my everdrive as well
everdrive seems like a quality product and people praise the quality of the brand and love them but it lacks almost any documentation, not even a digital pdf..
all the info is scattered around the forums and one must look for it... there was plenty of confusion on the card bump button which in my eyes could had been avoided by an instruction manual or something..
i know we are in the age of recycling and most people don't give a damn about manuals, but i do...
and manuals are a good slap in the face when people ask basic questions

currently and i don't know if it ever will, there is no autoboot function
anyway, if you want to reset a game, you can press A+B+Select+Start at the same time, it will soft reset the game as normal, i believe a few games don't have this soft reset thing, and you are probably asking for a hard reset feature which currently doesn't exist other than press the card bump and press start to launch the last game

I figured out how. I appreciate the response though!
How did you manage to change it?

It was just simply changing the controller layout in the SGB menu from B, to A and that fixed it.

didn't knew the SGB itself had options for it, thanks for posting and letting us (me specially) know
but that's why i commented about maybe with a snes cheating device, because i assumed the SGB didn't had such option natively

it's not possible with the everdrive GB.
from what i know\or what i remember the super game boy is an pratically a game boy in a cartridge shell and uses the console to output video and get the controllers input.. (or maybe i am mistaking with the game boy player, i am not really sure)
the everdrive GB the max it could do is swap the B and A keys, but it even doesn't do that (the option in the menu is just for the menu, and i think krikz even comented to the fact he could even do that ingames)

not sure if its possible with a cheat device for the snes (a device that would sit between the cart and the console and could remap stuff)

title, curious about next plans for the everdrive stuff, last thing that was worked in was the master everdrive.

in the store page, click in the DOWNLOADS button in the top, navigate to the right folder for your device, heres a direct link:

i believe you just have to put the gbos file in the micro sd card and done
