F5 : FAT error on everdrive gba x5
« on: September 11, 2018, 05:23 AM »
Hi,
I write here because I received an Everdrive GBAx5 last week and it worked flawlessly until now : I get the message « ERROR: F5 FAT error » when I load a rom and when I try to open the save folder, I get « ERROR: D3 SD IO error disk read error »

I wonder if it is a micro sd card problem but I don’t understand why it worked fine before and now it doesn’t...

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me :)

Try reformatting the SD CARD with 32kb cluster. See if the cluster is currently less. I had this issue from a Sandisk with a smaller cluster set by accident. Another card I got, 16gb sdhc is formatted like this with no issues.

It works ! The cluster was set "by default" so I reformatted with 32kb cluster as you said. I hope the error message won't show up again after some time, if so I will try with another sd card.

Thanks a lot !
