Title: GBA questions
Post by: katenecon58 on January 22, 2021, 03:21 PM
I have a general question regarding the Everdrive GBA...

I'm seeing that there is the X5 for sale. $96 or so.

Were there any other versions? If so, like an X4 or X3 or whatever. What are the older versions missing compared to the X5?

And do online stores still sell the old versions at all?

There is an older version of the X5 that has a different shell which extends further out from the GBA than a traditional cart. The lastest GBA X5 has a couple of hardware improvements in addition to a cleaner looking shell. To my knowledge, there are no other Everdrive GBA models, though there are several versions of the Everdrive GB.

The only known Everdrive GBA versions is the default one based off the classic game Yoshi's Topsy Turvy which is easier to wobble out if there is any reason to do so for switching cartridges and the more refined one that is the same size as a standard GBA cartridge (The one where you have to use your fingernail to ply out the cart with the ridge in it)
