Hello all, I know this isn't really a PC forum, but I'll ask anyways. I recently built a gaming PC, and quite enjoy it. This has got me thinking- why not build a Home Theater PC dedicated to my television needs? A sort of hub for all my entertainment needs, streaming, mild gaming, physical media support (my PC does not have a disc drive). I went so far as to build one on PC part picker, and when I saw the cost, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Why would I not just connect my gaming PC to the television with a long HDMI cable? I wouldn't have support for physical media, but it would be way cheaper. Has anyone else built a HTPC, and did you like it enough that you felt justified in building another PC altogether for your media needs?

Do you have the expansion pak? It is a requirement for game shark to work.

EverDrive 64 / V3 vs V2 SD card location?
« on: March 07, 2018, 02:38 AM »
Hello, I have an ED64 V2, and a cart I made for it that required sacrificing 2 cartridges so that its color scheme would match my pilachu N64. My reset button no longer works, so I need to upgrade to a V3.
So my question is basically: is the V3 SD port in the exact location of the V2 SD slot, or will I not be able to use my 2-tone cart without further modification? Or I guess if anyone can recommend a console repairman, that would alleviate my need for a V3.

MSDOS? That's a little strange. All I can think of is reformatting it to FAT32 or trying a different SD card. Those two answers seem to solve 90% of these problems.

Hey you are back from the dead!
yayyyyy i have been missed  :D whats the progress looking like on the everJAG then?  ;)

The chance is still slim to none. Krikzz has said that he's working on hardware updates now. New EDGB, maybe a GBA flash cart, and maybe something NES related(maybe my brain made that last one up.)

Does just renaming the files work? I thought that .v64 and .z64 where un-interchangeable because of byte swapping, or something.

Still says out of stock on the Retrogate Store for everything.
I believe is the new official shop and retrogate is now down.

So is it no longer possible to order only the main board from Krikzz new store the way you could at retrogate? You have to get a shell?

That's a real shame, It saved me a lot of money, and i could put in whatever shell I wanted to. These carts are anything but average, so I like to dress them up.

Too many returns due the physical damage from customers who bought bare boards. So i make the shells for some carts and sell in shells

EverDrive N8 / Re: USB port usage
« on: March 16, 2015, 09:24 PM »
I don't have a USB on mine, but from what i've gathered, it is for developing home-brew on real hardware. Put you cart in the console, power it on, have your PC on, and the USB plugged in, then there is a folder that contains the driver needed for the USB you can download of of Krikzz's site, and put on the SD card (before you turn it on). And from that point on, I can't help you. May be better to ask people like Chilly Willy, saturnu, or Krikzz.
