Mega EverDrive / Sort Feature Broken in 3.08
« on: October 24, 2019, 03:32 PM »
Has anybody else noticed that the sort feature does not work with the latest OS release 3.08?  I am using a Mega EverDrive X5.

I have three subfolders (Genesis, SMS and 32X) for my games and when adding new games last night I noticed that enabling sort did nothing at all to bring the new files in line.  I'm sure that this used to work on previous versions of the OS, but ended up having to remove all folders and re-add them to the SD card in order to have everything show up alphabetically.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Is CX4.bin still required?
« on: June 05, 2019, 04:29 PM »
Hi!  Just got my SD2SNES Pro last night and just discovered that not all chips come with the firmware (didn't read all the way down on the Downloads page for the firmware... ;D)

I'm good on the DSP front thanks to StoneAgeGamer's site, but they list CX4.bin as being a required file.  However Ikari's site doesn't list it as being required and I see a file named fpga_cx4.bin & fpga_cx4.bi3 so I wonder if they replace CX4.bin?

EverDrive GB / New ED GB X7 Freezing On File Browser
« on: May 02, 2019, 06:01 PM »
I have a brand new EverDrive GB X7 that just arrived last night.  After the first time I used it to play Super Mario Land 2, I turned the system off and back on to play a new game and got an SD Card Error several times.  I reseated the SD card and then it booted fine.  That is where the real problem began and I am not sure if it was somehow related.

After getting it to work, I noticed while navigating the pages of my folders that gibberish symbols would begin to appear along the top row where the page count is (see attached image for example)  This is fine except that SOMETIMES when this happens the main menu will lock up completely and I'll have to shut it down.  I have experienced no lockups in any games as of yet, and diagnostics all pass as OK.

One time when the symbols appeared, the menu actually cut out to a black screen where the ED reloaded the OS as if it were rebooting itself.

I did try a totally different SD Card (for the X7 I'm using a 4GB Toshiba that came with my 3DS, but I also have a brand new SanDisk 16GB that I tried) and experienced the same issues.

Also I noticed when in the file browser that the red LED is constantly lit (although it does seem to be flashing at a very rapid rate, almost like the LED on a dying Gameboy) is that normal for the X7?  I thought it only flashed when changing pages or loading a ROM.
