Hi, here you can download the newest v2.3. There are also some other Mods like „No AA” and „Fox to Sabre text restoration”.

Could you try a different SD Card?

Edit: Maybe your console or the power brick is the problem, the ED64 needs more power than an original N64 game.

Hi, you could try to clean the contacts from the Everdrive and your console. Try cleaning them with Isopropyl.

Greetings

I had several TVs running in my life, the first was a old Sharp CRT, the second a LG LCD, the third a Grundig LED, now I’m using a Toshiba LED and an old JVC CRT from my grandpa and all of them, supported NTSC 50, NTSC 60, PAL 50 and PAL 60 with my PAL FRA RGB modded N64. It really is a hit or miss...

Hi and welcome. You can read about the problem games here: http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=147.0.

Short answer, all the protected games work fine with the UltraCIC II and III.

Okay, so I used another SD card, formatted it FAT32 using the program from SDcard.org and directly got the same error. So I looked at the Everdrive and re-soldered the SD card holder and cleaned the cartridge contacts (again), popped it in the N64 and it worked. I’ll have to test the thing a bit more tomorrow.

Thank you @Cell for your answer! The SD Card is the only thing I didn’t changed, because I hadn’t another. Tomorrow I’ll try another SD card. Hopefully It’ll resolve the problem.

Thank you again for your answer!

Hi there, little update incoming:
The replacement PSU didn’t solved the problem , the error showed up again after some time. Even replacing the caps didn’t helped. I’ll trying to replace the cartridge connector on Sunday, but I don’t think it will help. When the error 0x1e shows up and running the Diagnostic, it shows EEP: Error 01.

Any suggestions would be great.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Today I changed the power supply (Original too) and stressed the whole system. I’ve played several hours Perfect Dark with 8 bots, Goldeneye X with 8 bots and watched some bot fights in Smash Remix. I’ve checked three times the ED64 Diagnostics and got no errors.

What I’ve forgot to mention is, I’m using an RAD2X without external power supply. It looks like the RAD2X, the Everdrive 64 and the UltraPIF draw to much power. Would it help to change caps on my old power supply?

Update: I’ve played more than 6:30 hours without any problems with the replacement power supply. So I’ve ordered new caps for the old psu and will test again. The new caps are all +105°c with >5000h.

ya

try different different sd card first

everdrive are picky on 3.3v and 5v power railing

check where mod power line and find different spot to use

The UltraPIF gets its power from the original PIF pads. But I’ll try another or reformat the SD card.

Edit: So I did a full format and re-downloaded the OS. All worked fine for a few hours. I even let the Bots fight against each other in Smash Bros. But now the error is back. If I try to load a game, I’ll get the Error 0X1E. So I’d run the diagnostic and it said EEP: Error 01.

Edit2: I’ll try another power brick and Expansion Pak Tomorrow.

Hi, as mentioned above, the problem exists with official v2.13 and jonesalmighty’s v2.12.8 firmware.

Regards

Oh, okay. Your post states the latest firmware, so I thought you might be referring to 3.05

You haven't mentioned your SD card. Is the issue replicated on other cards?

My Everdrive is an 2.01, so the latest available firmware is 2.13. My SD is the one I got from Stone Age gamer back in 2012.

system mods draw power away from everdrive needs

What can I do? Should I change the caps?

Thank you guys!

EverDrive 64 / Everdrive 64 v2.01 Error 0X1E
« on: January 26, 2021, 06:16 PM »
Hi, I have a problem with my Everdrive 64. My Setup is as following:

N64: SMD RGB and C-Sync modded french PAL console with the UltraPIF (fw 0.7.1) installed, original Expansion Pak and Power Brick.

ED64: Everdrive 64 v2.01 with UltraCIC-III and latest Firmware (also tried jonesalmighty’s v2.12.8, same problem).

Problem: I can play all my original PAL and NTSC-US games (even Repros) without any problems. But if I insert the Everdrive 64, I’ll often get the Error 0X1E. The same error occurred with the „Otakus-Store Region Free v2.0” Mod.

What could be the problem?

Regards

EverDrive 64 / Re: Need Help assembling UltraCIC III
« on: December 30, 2020, 06:56 PM »
You need the latest version of Avra (or at least version 1.3.0) to compile it.

As i dont know which base CIC you need, i attached every single one...
Have fun ^^

for info:
NTSCPAL
61017102
61027101
61037103
61057105
61067106

Ah, vom Chef höchstpersönlich, vielen Dank für die Hilfe :)

Grüße

Edit: One last question, I have an Everdrive 64 v2.01 and an UltraPIF modified N64. Which UltraCIC-III should I use? At the moment, the Everdrive 64 has the UltraCIC-II installed and doesn’t work, till I switch „Use Rom CIC” Mode to „no”.

Thank you!
