EverDrive 64 / Re: Unofficial-Official ED64 OS

You remember wrongly as the official OS has the same resolutions as this version. On top of that there is a physical reason for this to be wrong, the N64 ONLY supports 480i output.
240p is achieved by the N64 not switching fields between re-traces.

Is the changelog for Krikzz's v2.13 incorrect in what it says? It clearly states this info on his site:
"2.13
18.01.2019
1) Menu video mode changed to 240p/480p.
2) All four controller ports is active in menu."

Temporarily switching the OS64.v64 file with the Official v2.13 version, I can confirm that v2.13's 640x480 option does in fact look better, and even makes the menu background look less blurry to look at. Perhaps there's some visual trick being pulled off that makes 640x480 resolution look sharper in v2.13 firmware than it does here?

Trevor is correct in the fact that the N64 is incapable of outputting 480p (so perhaps krikzz just named it wrong and meant 480i). However, I was playing around with the configuration for the display when getting ready for font improvements, so could have made the output worse... I will look into it (would be worth seeing if my older OS releases also look better).

I think I have just fixed the issue you reported about the expansion pak, but not (quite) ready for another preview yet...

If you're in the UK, Retro Gaming Cables have good quality stuff like the RAD2X and the upcoming S-video SNES cable they're working on which should work on charcoal N64's.

As for HDMI mods, there's this recent one which looks impressive. New stock should be arriving in early summer.

So you went straight from chip to pins? Another thing I noticed is that my right channel is VERY quiet instead of missing. But, that's not every time I boot the Everdrive. Sometimes it's fine.

He means he should try without the HDMI adapter. Try with the normal composite video cable.
The thing is, iirc my original av cable is broken. That's why i asked if any hdmi mods for pal consoles exist.

I remember v2.13 official OS from Krikzz actually had 640x480p resolution in the menu, which looks way cleaner/sharper than 640x480i through my CRT TV that I use. Wondering if it's possible to somehow implement 480p menu resolution like old v2.13 OS?

EverDrive GBA / Re: Why does Everdrive GBA need an emu for GB and GBC?
« Last post by nuu on May 17, 2021, 12:54 PM »
That would also need cramming a GB/GBC Everdrive and a GBA Everdrive in the same shell. Everdrive GB is used when you want to play GB/GBC games natively.

Hello, guys!

Someone has this problem before?

I have an Everdrive X3 (Model 16, Rev. A, 2016.09.27) since 2019 and wanted to play Virtua Racing Deluxe via Sega 32X again.
I had an Everdrive v3 before X3 and runs flawlessly, but I sold it.
Since I've bought this X3, never tried to load any ROMs with the 32X attached.

The Everdrive X3 is running any games without problems, directly attached on Mega Drive 3 and Mega Drive 2 (Brazilian models).

If I try to load any ROM with the Sega 32X attached, it will show the "Loading" message, and apparently give a "reset" after this.

Neither Sega 32X or Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive ROMs load...
Trying to play 32X or Genesis cartridges attached via Sega 32X, runs without any issues.

Here are some photos. I've tried update the OS and the problems still persists...

« Last post by gusta1181 on May 17, 2021, 02:17 AM »
My Everdrive pro is not working with my HI-def NES properly, my Hi-def nes works perfect with any regular game but with the Everdrive pro it always stop working after 30 o 40 minutes and it won't work again until is off for like 30 minutes, I don't understand why is that happening, is there anyone else who has this problem? I would like to know what can be done, is there any fixing?
