Sorry, not trying to be rude... just stating the facts (and rather more pissed than I thought)...
Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth...

Because you are using an emulated gameboy on an N64... which is more of an issue to emulate then you think?!

I mean there where a few different ways you could have just said this, "its just a issue with (blank)" But the real issue was I was asking for a technical reply for question, and this was more of a "No duh?!" reply. It wasnt helpful at all to me, or others reading with the same issue. I'm merely just trying to find a hotfix for the games.

Apology accepted.

Does anyone know what the original color plate for pokemon, blue red and yellow where? I messed with mine too much and i forgot what it was originally set to.

Is there any way to convert back to a GB or GBC file? Or more specifically, the save file?

I couldnt get that to work. Id love to edit the save files, but any gbc pokemon gen 1/gen2 save editor thinks the n64 save file is too large to edit.
As for converting it back, I dont have the info to do such a thing, if its possible that is.

I'd be more interested in ways to convert GB/GBC saves to work with the N64 conversions than the other way around.

This is a long shot, but is there any way to trick the system into thinking there is a Game Boy Printer attached, when playing Pokemon games emulated, either via GB64 or via Pokemon Stadium, and having the files saved to the EverDrive?

That would be useful, but i have no idea how to do that from an old save.

It doesn't save to a controller pack. It saves to the the flash cart directly.
You should convert using Flash. The Sram is only there becuase 64drive seems to have a problem saving flash and sram is a work around. You should only need to copy the crc codes generated on this page when you convert
https://lambertjamesd.github.io/gb64/romwrapper/romwrapper.html
Post a copy of of your same_db.txt if that doesn't work for you.

I have written the following in the save_db.txt:

OFF : 0
EEPROM 4k : 1
EEPROM 16k : 2
SRAM : 3
SRAM 768 : 4
FLASHRAM : 5
0x58a013bb=5 (Donkey Kong (JU) (V1.1) [!])

I also tried with SRAM (=3) but unfortunately it didn't work either. Have I written something wrong?

Has anyone figured out how to edit the save files of pokemon blue/red/yellow that work on the n64?

Also this somehow gives my copy of pokemon blue (usa) an error when using abra to teleport, your char model turns into a weird shape with a number in it. Anyone know what caused this?

I just wanted to document this here, but I released version 3.0
https://lambertjamesd.github.io/gb64/romwrapper/romwrapper.html

I changed the resolution it runs at to 640x480 as suggested as well as implemented the everdrive save type into the rom header, so no more messing with save_db.txt
I also made it compatible with the ED64/emu folder so you don't need to convert individual ROMs, instead you can just use the Download Emulator link and drop the two files from that download into ED64/emu on your everdrive to run gameboy games directly

This is exciting stuff! Definitely going to be trying out the Standalone Game Boy Emulators once Krikzz releases a new OS update for the EverDrive 64. There are still some annoying firmware bugs that have yet to be addressed on X7 OS v3.05 (still currently running an older firmware until those issues get fixed).

If you use the everdrive 2.0 like me,  rename the emulators to "EMU.GB" and "EMU.GBC" into the folder ED64/

this update is a huge improvement

For people on the old ED OS for 2x/3x: The rom header save settings are ignored in those OS versions, to fix add
Code: [Select]
0x8A455BAA=5 (GB64 3.0)to save_db.txt
The settings should work for any .gb/.gbc rom

that wont work for OS v2.xx as always use SRAM for EMU.nes , EMU.gb and EMU.gbc
and OS v2.xx doesnt see CRC HI for EMU.xxx
