Everdrive64 clone
« on: July 16, 2021, 10:45 AM »
Found these on ebay and other sites recently. Looks like an Everdrive64 cheap clone. Very tempted to buy one and try it out with that price. Clearly the quality will not be matched to an Everdrive64 or a 64drive but just wondering if it plays games well and isnt going to crap out. Reviews online are pretty mixed. Anyone ever seen one in person?

I have never used a clone, but it very likely has worse game compatibility, it won't work with any official OS updates and you will not have any support for it. Worst of all, clones may damage both themselves and your console as they tend to skimp on voltage translation to save money. This might not be the case with N64 which already uses 3V logic, so I don't know for sure.

And since this is the official Everdrive forums, you will soon be reprimanded by fanboys for discussing Everdrive clones.
