I keep getting error 07 on my V3 everdrive 64
« on: November 02, 2020, 03:40 AM »
I keep having to reformat my SD card and copy everything back over.  Everything will be going fine and it'll all be working.  Then suddenly I boot it up and I get error 07 and the only thing that seems to fix it is reformatting and copying everything back over.  Is there any thing I'm doing that could cause this?  Should I get a new SD card?  Its been working for a few years just fine and this just started.

This has happened again.  I didn't use my Everdrive 64 for a month or two, I come back to it and error 07 AGAIN.  Why does this keep happening?  I've tried so many different memory cards but if I leave the everdrive for a bit I return to error 07 and have to redo everything AGAIN.

Really frustrating.

Is the latest OS 3.05 and I have a stack of SD cards it has done this with.  Samsung Pros, Samsung Evos, Sandisk Ultras, Sandisk Extremes, Transcend, PNY, there's even an Amazon basics brand and a Sony in there.  And I have no idea what the last game played was, last time I used it was a a month or two ago.

I've discovered that if I delete the sys folder and copy a fresh one from the OS Zip into it, it goes back to working fine.  Sure would be nice to know what error 07 means.

What about the Everdrive's self-test, does that show any problems?

Also, try OS v2.13, it is compatible with later Everdrives, and though it has less features, it also doesn't have some bugs that seem to have been introduced in v3.05.

The Everdrive self test shows no issues. This didn't start happening until I upgraded to V3.05 of the OS, so I suppose I'll just have to downgrade.

You're not on your own, anyway. A few others have temporarily gone back to using v2.13, until Krikzz fixes the bugs (which he will, he always gets around to fixing bugs, in time).
