EverDrive GBA / Game compatiblity (X5 vs ODE)
« on: June 11, 2021, 04:52 AM »
Well slowly working my way through testing games.... Seems I hit one game that doesn't work on the ODE, but works fine on the X5...

Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu

You'll get a warning saying "game won't work on hardware" on the ODE, but it works fine on Krikkz's flashcart.

Anyone know what causes the issue?

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / MicroSD card card sizes.

I’m thinking of upgrading to a larger sandisk micro sd.

Anyone tested anything larger than 128gb? Was thinking of upgrading to 400 or 512 gb sandisk for plenty of extra MSU1 space.

EverDrive GBA / Save files and transferring (EDX5 vs Omega DE)
« on: May 27, 2021, 09:05 PM »
Is there anyway to convert save files from the Ever Drive to work in the Omega Definitive Edition?

The X5 uses 'eep', 'srm', and 'fla' in the "SAVE" folder in the GBASYS folder.

While Omega DE uses SAVER folder and uses what it calls "esv" & "sav" files. Don't know if there are other variations, as I haven't tested across all GBA games or various save type options.

Any chance of adding a 3rd option for switching sides of famicom disks? Maybe a "key command" that has to be activated?

The reason being that automatic switching interferes with games like Legend of Zelda in which if you don't switch disks you go into title screen, hear intro music, and then load up the introduction story, and summary of the games items.

But with 'automatic disk switching' turned on it goes from title screen straight into the game, with no way to avoid it and watch the bootup demonstration stuff...

Maybe there could be programmable key command like "start + select" or some such, that could 'switch the disk', when you are ready to switch.

So it appears its just a Japanese rom + dynamic real-time patching to English on the fly.

Is there anyway to pull the patch information and convert it to a useable patch for the japanese rom in the future?

EverDrive 64 / Super Mario 64 3D All Stars (Rumble SUpport)
« on: October 05, 2020, 12:42 PM »
Seems that the version fo Super Mario 64 in 3D All Stars on the Switch is based on the version with Rumble Support. Any chance of pulling out the rom and using it on hardware? Maybe modding it to restore the original button layout graphics?

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Sonic SNES demo/proof of concept
« on: September 16, 2020, 01:37 AM »

Anyone try this out? The developer claims its based on actual sonic the hedghog code/engine then converted and optomized with some tricks to run on the SNES. I'v eplayed the rom its impressive, as most of the physics are there, and it plays super fast, with almost zero slow down.

I've seen one incredulous person claim its bullshit, and that is a 'simply a sprite hack' of Super Mario Bros... Even though Super Mario doesn't even ahve the same physics, AI, or control schemes...

But is there anyone with the knowedge to look over the rom to see if it was hacking a previous Nintendo game, or if it was made from the ground up?

Inside has in last few months been designing some interesting flashcarts for special featured games such as Boktai and solar cells/rtc, and another for rumble pack featured games (Drill Dozer primarily at the moment, but he said other games oculd be programmed to use it as well). On the GBC front, he has one that has Rumble+RTC (built into what looks like a HuC1/3 mapper sized/style case).

Specs (seems it also includes RTC!, and he also makes some with solar for Boktai games):

GBC rumble flashcart (For those 15 or so games...):

GBA rumble flashcart:

Maybe the 8 or so Gameboy Player Enhanced GBA games (that support rumble on Gameboy Player) could be reworked to access rumble from the cart as well...!

I think BennVenn has also said he's interested in designing something with extra features too... Possibly rumble and solar....

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Gigaleaks?

Anything good for the SNES out of the "gigaleaks"? Or other systems (I found the latest current GB/GBC dump)?

Besides its appearance in in MISTer... any news of it getting port to SD2SNES/FXPak Pro, anytime soon? It's been a year since it was last brought up or so as far as I know... As I understand it it works well with Far East of Eden on MISTer already... also the developers who translated Super Monsters Shell Story are also sitting on a fisnished translation of the sequel too for some reason, perhaps waiting for flashcarts compatibility to catch up?

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / SGB2 + save states?

Is there a combined firmware out there yet that adds both features?

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Cooly Skunk rom
« on: March 20, 2020, 06:15 AM »
Anyone have any luck getting the english patched version of this rom to work with SD2SNES Pro?

For me it keeps wanting to boot into BS Town bios, and when I try to load it from the house it seems the file is 'corrupt' and won't load.

Master EverDrive / Mega SG compatiblity?
« on: February 11, 2020, 03:39 PM »
I'm curious how well this works on Mega SG?

While I already have a genesis flashcart, it doesnt' allow for save states on SMS games, and I would like to get one of these if that feature works well enough?

Also can you use the Master ED's FM Audio feature with Mega SG, and how does it compare to the Mega SG's own FM Audio feature?

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / SPC7110 (any updatess?)
« on: January 24, 2020, 09:40 AM »
How well is this working on MISTer? How long do we have to wait until it gets brought over to our lovely SD2SNES/FXPaks? It's been several months already since it was first released on MISTer I think?
