That's a shame. It would be pretty cool to use the arcade and HD Remix soundtracks on all 3 SFII SNES versions.

Here's some other games that I think would benefit from MSU1 soundtrack replacement:
* BS Legend of Zelda (original NES music or the music that streamed during the original broadcast)
* BS Legend of Zelda AST (music that streamed during the original broadcast)
* Captain Commando (Arcade music)
* Castlevania: Dracula X ("Rondo of Blood" PC Engine CD music)
* Doom (PC soundtrack)
* Dragon Quest I+II (original NES music or Symphonic Suite soundtrack)
* Dragon Quest III (original NES music or Symphonic Suite soundtrack)
* Final Fantasy IV/II (Celtic Moon, Piano Collections, NDS/PC, or PSP soundtracks)(Video from PC version)
* Final Fantasy V (Dear Friends or Piano Collections soundtracks)(Video from PS1 version)
* Final Fantasy VI/III (Grand Finale or Piano Collections soundtracks)(Video from PS1 version)
* Final Fight (Arcade music)
* Killer Instinct (Arcade/Killer Cuts soundtrack)
* Mortal Kombat series (Arcade or MK9 music)
* Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (original NES music)
* Star Ocean (First Departure PSP music)
* Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Arcade music)
* Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (Arcade music)
* Super Mario All-Stars (original NES music)
* Super Smash TV (Arcade music)
* Super Star Wars Trilogy (movie soundtracks)
* Tetris + Dr. Mario (original NES or GB music)
* UN Squadron (Arcade sountrack)
* WWF series (real wrestler entrance music)

A member here already did a hack for the SF2 games but sadly, he won't release any of them. We'd only need the hack itself, getting and changing the audio files is the easy part and something we could do ourselves. Hard to believe nobody else has done or released one yet.
I would rip the audio from the 3do version easy, and would share, i wouldnt know how to hack the rom tho..

Not supported by SD2SNES yet (if at all), but could work on bsnes/higan.

Now there's a game that can use CD Quality music. Great stuff.

There's also a new SMW hack called "Super Mario World MSU-1(+)".

http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2472/

I've tried patching the ROM with both flips and beat and the Luigi sprites change like they're suppose to, but I can't get the audio to work for some reason.

No problem. I had the same issue so I talked about it to the author on zeldix.net where it was posted and he was awesome enough to fix it.

Hey everyone, I'm currently remixing the FF4 soundtrack to sound like the original synths Uemastu used for the FFMix album. (the synths that FF4 got its samples)

I thought this would be an awesome MSU-1 hack. Thoughts?

A lot of the msu1 hackers are making the audio hacks here:

http://www.zeldix.net/f45-msu-1-hacking

There is even someone who did a big video tutorial so now anyone can do it.

The Chrono Trigger one is a mess to compile... I did it and it took me few days, had to get someone on another forum to help me.

Actually, we're in the final stages of BSZ and AST right now over at the BS Zelda forums - we got a bunch of voice actors together and hunted down the original broadcast music for them all, and all we're waiting on now is the audio guys to put all the voice files and backing tracks together for release.  Current word is that BSZ will be out in a week or two, with AST following after.
