EverDrive GB / Everdrive GB keeps resetting on GB Boy Colour

Even though the Everdrive GB sort of worked fine at first, it now does a reset loop.
- The batteries are full (Duracell Quantum)
- Two different SD cards have been tried and they both do the same thing (though the high-speed one does a better job of loading the OS) after a failure
- Formatted the SD card and put just one GB ROM on there, same thing.
- Deleted every file in EDGB (checked if there were hidden ones as well)
It seems to be unable to erase whatever is already loaded onto memory. Is there a way of FORCING the Everdrive GB to clear its memory contents?
