Mega Everdrive Pro 32X Glitch & SD Card FS

I received my Mega Everdrive Pro. The first games I tested were NBA Jam 32X, Virtua Racing 32X and Chaotix.

In NBA Jam, it randomly glitches when in a match, even when the game is in demo mode. Here's a quick video I shot.

I tried also the non-saving hacked version, it still glitches. I say it is random because there are times I can successfully finish a whole match.

Virtua Racing also freezes at the racing, even when in demo mode.

Chaotix also freezes at a level beginning, when the stage title screen shows up. I don't have the image at this time, but I can provide.

I have a Mega Everdrive V1 and a Neo Myth MD, and both do work fine with the same roms, so I guess my 32X/Mega Drive are OK. I'm using a Sega Genesis Model 1 TMSS (VA6 maybe), no Sega CD attached.

I'm using OS 4.08 and standard settings. Changed both Power Supplies, but issue persists.

*Solved*Another issue I'm experiencing is regarding SD Card. I have a Sandisk 8GB SDHC, but no matter how I format it the Everdrive says "Unknown Disk Format Please format in FAT32". Tried exFAT and FAT32, but I can't get it to work. Other smaller cards from other brands are being read correctly.

Please, can anybody help me?

EDIT: Additional information: I tried Cosmic Carnage, Darxide, Fifa Soccer 96, Tempo, Virtua Fighter, all of these worked fine.
EDIT 2: Solved the SD Card issue for good. I used SD Card Formatter, and did a Overwrite Format with CHS format size adjustment enabled. exFAT also worked.

I downloaded the latest 4.09 OS update eager to see if it would solve my issue.

After trying it in my earlier setup, it took a little more time to glitch. Then I set up my Japanese Mega Drive model 1 HDG. Same issue in the same games plus Mortal Kombat II.

In a desperate move, I fired up my Model II Sega Genesis. It took like 1/2 an hour to freeze in NBA Jam 32X, and I'm glad it glitched because after testing it in 3 different MD, 2 different power supplies and 3 different flash carts is hard to say my setup is the issue. The only thing that didn't change is the 32X itself.

Diagnostics screen lists green OK for every test.

Maybe it is a ED power issue. Someone with the same setup and games having the same issue? Do I have a defective Everdrive? I tested SMS, Sega CD, Mega Drive and even NES games and it all runs perfectly, except for these bunch of 32X games.

Just when I already sold my Mega Everdrive V1, it's ready to ship. Oh well. Any help is appreciated.

What about other 32X games? Are these the only ones that has problems?
What roms are you using? Try no-intro roms.
Is the 32X NTSC? PAL 32X may not work correctly on an NTSC Mega Drive.

Unfortunately I don't have a 32X.

Hi, thanks for helping.

The other games I tried and worked (at least while I played), are:

Cosmic Carnage (U)
Darxide (E)
Fifa Soccer 96 (E)
Tempo (U)
Virtua Fighter (U)

All the roms tested are "correct" GoodGen dumps [!], and I remeber these roms are also verified OK for No-Intro. It is a NTSC US 32X.

Try again with roms you are sure are no-intro. Goodroms are no good.

Ok, I had a sure <guess>, but now we can be really sure all my tested roms are the same as the No Intro ones (RomCenter w/ [Sega - 32X (Parent-Clone) (20190130-183336).dat].

Two examples:

[NBA Jam Tournament Edition (W) (32X) [!].32x] (GoodGen) = [NBA Jam - Tournament Edition.32X] (NoIntro)
(same CRC: 6b7994aa according RomCenter)

[Knuckles' Chaotix (JU) (32X) [!].32x] (GoodGen) = [Chaotix ~ Knuckles' Chaotix (Japan, USA).32X] (NoIntro)
(same CRC: d0b0b842 according RomCenter)

I still trust the GoodTools databases, I have a lot of different flash carts for others systems and I like their rom file naming scheme. Look at that Chaotix rom naming above... The only issue with GoodGen is they stopped updating and supporting their database, but everything was ok.

I already knew it was the same roms, but I understand why you asked me this, and I thank you for the troubleshooting. Any steps further?

I forgot to mention I've tried multiple SD Cards, same results. Yesterday I played intensively some big Sega Genesis games like SSF2, S3&K, for several hours non-stop, just to be sure they don't glitch in Mega Drive mode (with 32X attached). And they didn't, just the 32X games.

check ribbon cable inside 32x might got loose

I had to check this recently. 32X specific sounds (not the genesis ones) were playing only in one channel. After checking the ribbon cables, it was fixed.

But all the same games, the same roms, the same MD setups always worked fine (and still work) with other flash carts, which I intended to sell all after I bought MED PRO.

Sold my MED V1 last week, still got my Neo Myth MD. I'll leave it running for a reasonable time again to test my setup.

I believe some people here have been playing 32X games in the MED PRO, right? I don't know anyone near who has a MED PRO and a 32X to test it. Can anybody confirm it is really working with these games? Maybe my 32X doesn't have enough power to support this Everdrive, maybe the Everdrive could be defective, but it would be nice if someone could also test these games.
