I've been looking at the asm for a bit, but haven't really tested anything yet.  It would be nice to be able to trace using the usb port.

Krikzz - is this possible?  To trace the asm and dump it to a file using the usb port?  Or even sd card I guess...

I intend to help you out with this.  I had to dig up the rom I found a year or so ago, let me do some testing and get back.

As you might have seen on the page, you can export the cheats for the magicengine and mess emulators.  I am the webmaster for, and I might be able to write an export script for an ips file if it's straightforward.  Basically it depends on whether the tg16 uses paging or not.  I'll have to look into it.

Realize this only applies to ROM hacks, which most of the ones at gh are RAM.  I, for one, will be making more ROM hacks... unfortunately right now the mess debugger doesn't want to break on watchpoints for tg16/pce... I hope they fix it soon.  Until they do I'm stuck sifting through trace dumps.

EDIT: after looking at my cheats for Splatterhouse, it looks like an ips script might work.  Unless it's a coincidence that all three cheats were on the first page.

EDIT 2:  I added an ips script to the site.  The only problem is, is that it's hard to discern which codes are ROM hacks.  One way to tell is if they have a compare byte (address?compare:value).  There are 3 ROM codes for Splatterhouse you can get a patch for.

You're right... there aren't enough ROM based cheats to justify a cheats system.  Most of these are RAM.

However, there is potential for many more, perhaps I'll mention it again when there's more cheats available.

I have a copynes in my nes with a ram cart, but I will definitely get one of these to use instead... looking forward to better compatibility and features.

I've made a few ASM hacks for Splatterhouse using MESS.  Any chance of cheat support for the T-ED?

Edit: I see this topic has been discussed already... I guess since we have ASM hacks, I'm wondering now the probability of cheat support as opposed to patching roms.

It turned out to be the system.  It must be allergic to certain cards.  I don't know much about the internal structure of the TG16, but there must be something about it that treats some cards differently than others.

All of the cards work in my new (seemingly identical) system.

I formatted a different msdhc card known to work with other everdrives, and copied the roms (from the no-intro set).  Still a blue screen.

I've narrowed it down to the system and the cart itself.  Since I don't know anybody with a TG16 around here, I'll have to get a new system to test either anyway.

Turbo EverDrive / Another bsod issue...

I ordered a few of the everdrives last week, I'm happy with them all, they are great products.

My TG16 however is acting strange.  The only mod I've ever done with it was for composite a/v and that's it.  Of the games I own and the T-ED-

Work: Keith Courage, Victory Run, Legendary Axe, Alien Crush, Bonk's Adventure
Don't work: Splatterhouse, Bonk's Revenge, T-ED

The cards that don't work give me a blue screen.  The LED on the T-ED lights up for a second and shuts off, it's been this way since I received it.

The switch on the T-ED is on TG16, and I've tried cleaning the card slot with alcohol/Deox-IT multiple times.  I've also resoldered the cart pins onto the board.

I have a feeling I'll eventually end up replacing the TG16.  Is there anything else that could be the problem?  Is it possible the T-ED and the two cards I have are bad, or is it more likely the console?
