N64 digital has an (optional) crystal mod so games will work at the correct speed on any region console. See here: https://docs.pixelfx.co/N64Digital-Installation.html

My Azure subscription ran out, so currently I have nowhere to make them available (and honestly forgot they were there anyway).

The source is public, so they can still be built though - https://github.com/networkfusion/sm64

However, I dont really have any plans to make any further changes unless I receive help or pull requests...

Sorry, yes, I misunderstood. There is no way to disable the last run game by pressing start in the official os.  I will think about adding the option to my unofficial os though, but would only work with the V3 and below. As a work around, you should be able to sync and then reset to menu...

Then it sounds like you are not using an official menu and ED64...

Remove the sd card from the n64 and put it into your computer, then delete or rename the autoexec rom file.

You can, but people have reported issues with saves. or you can use my unofficial os which also has n64digital support, see http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=7991.0

Bear in mind that this is an NTSC ROM, and PAL consoles might have issues... I have not had issues with the sound or flickering on my NTSC console (yet), but still need to try it on my (main) pal console!

Of note... I think I prefer the semi censored version... it seems to add more (childhood) atmosphere... I have also just heard the idle conker playing a gameboy game, and totally forgot about that (rofl)!

Yes, 2.12.10 preview has some known issues, which I am still working to address. I released 2.12.9.1 after as wanted to release the pixelfx feature.

It might be worth downgrading your OS (menu version) to pre 3.05 and see if you have the same result...

Also, it might be worth trying to dump the cart via the utility http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=10921.0 and see if that works...

This might lead to valuable information as to why it is not working...

Because on an N64 the cartridge connector does not support it. There are mods out there that have the capability, or you could use a smart switch and your phone, or not be lazy ;-p

There was previews for that release, but they have been removed. Please give the release version a try and report back...

finally got time to test the OS and its very nice although I too have the same "issue" with the text colour, the difference is too subtle.
I also like the addition of another resolution option to make 240p people happy (Though I still prefer the 480i :) )

I have some more improvements regarding resolution in the next release, but it is proving hard to get right...
Feel free to recommend some hex colours (single byte per colour only) and I will be sure to try them in the next preview...

One bug is the About page instead does diagnostics and when it returns, the cursor of over the diagnostics option as if I had actually pressed that.
This happens every time.

Interesting... I am guessing you have a V2 or V2.5 cart?! I added a unit test so that I could ensure that worked... but perhaps I missed something!

(Or perhaps you are using a preview, rather than the latest release version???)
