Mega EverDrive / Re: Request for MD+ sound patches.

Is sad that Krikzz do not wanto make support for MD+, but the MegaSD developers says tha if MSU becomes mor popular, they would be willing to support the MSU format.

I don't know where you got that from, but the MegaSD already supports MSU-MD and always has.

The opposite would be true as the vast majority of patches available are MSU-MD, but most of them are pretty much untested and in a pre-release state. You can get them at ArcadeTV's GitHub.

Krikzz has stated before he's not interested in implementing MD+ for his cart, which is a shame really. It's an open standard and clearly the better of the two where having an Everdrive Pro or a  MegaSD is concerned. Seamless looping of audio is important as MSU1 set the standard and results in a 50% reduction in audio file sizes most of the time, also the code needed for patching is miniscule compared to MSU-MD and can be an important factor where ROM space is concerned (e.g. Xeno Crisis).

MSU-MD has its place, but really only for people who don't have a Pro. Using anything other than MD+ for an ODE capable flash cart such as the Pro and the MegaSD makes no sense.

clones of Krikzz's products are not supported here. Stop being cheap and buy the real thing.

How about avoid making false and ignorant statements?
SD2SNES is open source so there is no such thing as an SD2SNES clone, and it's designed by ikari (which is why it's open source unlike krikzz's cart designs).

Hardware beyond the original Rev. F is not open source. So yes, it is a clone.

You didn't say if it was the normal ROM, but I know this is true with MSU1 games where you have to long reset back to the main menu before the save can be written to the SD card, because the card is constantly in use during play. Either from streaming FMV or PCM files from the card.

A long reset is holding reset for a couple of seconds. I usually do it just to be safe even with non-MSU1 games.

Ah, Analogue...

Do a fresh format of a spare SD card and put the firmware on it directly from FURiOUS's ZIP file and try again. It's possible you overwrote an older firmware on your SD card with the new one, and sometimes the settings don't get written to the CFG file or there are some incompatibilities or corruption.

You don't need to patch the ROM if you have the IPS file with it. It will auto patch on the fly using that method, but the CUE file has to be named the same as the ROM as well. The audio BIN file can be called anything as long as the file name inside the CUE file matches it. What you should have is...

Road Rash II (USA, Europe).ips
Road Rash II (USA, Europe).md
Road Rash II (USA, Europe)_cd.bin
Road Rash II (USA, Europe).cue (with the file name inside the CUE file as "Road Rash II (USA, Europe)_cd.bin"

When you changed the name of the audio BIN file, did you also edit the name of that file inside the CUE so it correctly points to it? It's probably still looking for the old name without the "_cd" suffix you added.

Publicly available were the E, F, G, H, J & Pro revisions (Pro has had two boards, first run would fit only the European/Japanese shells, the second and latest board supports all shells).

Download this patch:'s%20Moonwalker%20(World)%20msu-md.ips

Source the (World) version of the ROM (CRC: 6a70791b). It must be this version. Other versions will not work.

Apply the patch with Flips.

Download the WAV and CUE files from:!4y4lkCzb!apu3lewNYuyJbo8nK3-JlWt-u5GVtK9WTCi1DQTT1As

Put the patched ROM, the WAV and the CUE files in a new folder on your SD card and make sure the ROM and CUE files are named the same.

It´'s not working.

You're being too vague. What is not working, exactly? What is happening when you're trying to patch the ROM? Which game in particular is it?

Elaborate, please.

You apply the patch to the ROM only, not the audio file.

Open Flips, click "Apply Patch", in the new window select the patch, in the next window select the ROM you want to patch. The final window will create the patched ROM that you will use.

Pick a game. Change the format to SD2SNES v1.7 and check the "Checked" satellite button. Check the codes you want and download the file. It'll be a YML file. Open the YML file with Notepad and change "false" to "true" on the "Enabled" field for each cheat. Put the YML file into the "cheats" folder inside the "sd2snes" folder on your SD card. Make sure the name of the YML file matches the name of the ROM you want to use with it. Enable any cheat related options in the configuration menu. That should be the basic gist of it.

There is no GUI for cheats yet, so this is the only way you can do it for now.
