EverDrive 64 / Re: Inconsistent saving for Paper Mario
« on: June 17, 2021, 06:28 AM »
That may actually be true. Unfortunately, that doesn’t explain the behaviour I’m seeing. I was hoping I was doing something wrong, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

EverDrive 64 / Inconsistent saving for Paper Mario
« on: June 17, 2021, 02:47 AM »
I’m having a problem with Paper Mario. 10% of the time, it doesn’t seem to write the save to my SD card. I’m resetting the system and letting it return to the menu, as it’s my understanding that’s needed to write the save to the card.

My cart is a v3 and I’m running 3.05 on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I would never stop anyone from requesting for a refund. If you feel unsatisfied on a product then you are welcome to take it up with the reseller or manufacturer to make things right for you.

The issue is that you're unsatisfied because of your own fault.  There's absolutely nothing for the manufacturer to 'make things right'.  The product description didn't list PC compatibility because it is not compatible with PCs.  You chose to believe otherwise for some reason.

You're well within your right to ask for a refund.  If Krikzz is nice enough to oblige, I hope there's a restocking charge to cover any loses on his part.

Go back and read my post from 9/16

I saw that post.  It makes your other post even more head scratching.  It's not like it's several months since Krikzz's post.  It's still well within the timeframe he stated.  I'm not quite sure what you're expecting from him.

]It would be nice if they were actually purchasable. Not a word from Krikzz which tells me they won’t be available anytime soon. Very disappointing

What do you mean 'Not a word from Kirkzz'?  He's literally 4 posts above yours, saying they should be back in stock in a month or so.  He posted that a month ago.  Just be patient.

Can't wait until this is available!  I'll definitely be ordering 2.

News / Re: Black Friday Sale?

My guess it will probably be 20% off just like retrogate's black friday sale.

I thought that Retrogate was Krikzz.  Now that Retrogate is up again, are they two separate entities?

I address some of the replies and reactions I've gotten in my follow-up video on YouTube:

If you feel I am being entitled, PLEASE WATCH. Thank you.  :)

Your video only makes you seem more entitled than your posts here.

Where Krikzz is located should definitely be a factor on whether or not you purchase from him.  You should take in to consideration that something could potentially be wrong with the product and that you'd need to ship it back.  It is not the responsibility of the company to cover return shipping costs for such issues.  You could have easily ordered from StoneAgeGamer, who is located in the US, but you chose not to.

You also made the choice of shipping without tracking.  That sits squarely on you.  Krikzz doesn't have a massive operation going here.  I sent my TED for replacement and also chose to use a service without tracking.  I knew the risks, but it all worked out in the end.  It took about 4 weeks or so before I got an e-mail from the person handling the replacements and had the new card a couple weeks later.

I'm willing to bet that returned cards are processed on a first come, first served basis.  It's possible your package arrived, but it hasn't been open yet as it's waiting in the queue.  If that's the case, it's reasonable for them to ask for a tracking number to find your package.  It's very possible you simply need to be more patient.

After seeing that auction, and knowing that I just paid somewhere in the area of $129 for a Sega MegaEverdrive V.3, and then I saw the new one for sale here at around $79,

Don't confuse the MD Everdrive ($78) and Mega Everdrive ($143).  They are different flash carts.  If you bought a Mega Everdrive for $129, you're doing ok.

Is there a way to tell what firmware is being used?

Some person can load iso from FPGA board.

From a FPGA connected to the expansion port at the back of the unit, not through the HU card slot.  What you're asking for is not possible.

The guy who made the GDEmu is working on a optical drive replacement for the PC-Engine.  You should watch for that project.

I hope the v3 will be awesome with arcard card and iso run !

It's not possible to run CD based games through the HU card slot.

For those which have the newer, non-screw version, what did you use for adhesive to keep the case closed?
