A little late to the thread :o, but I can say my N8 Pro will not boot properly with my Hi-def modded top loader. This is even with any version up to the latest, 2.09.

There is a test/debug version Krikzz posted based on 2.06 that kind of worked on mine, but it would still get glitchy after starting a game and returning to the menu. 

I also have a NESRGB modded AV Famicom and the N8 Pro works flawlessly on that machine. No IGR on mine.

Check the jumper on bottom right corner of cart pcb. On early version it populated at 5v position and it isn't working well with modded systems. If jumper populated at 3v position then should work fine with modded systems. Fix wasn't related to the board revision number as it stated on SAG page.

Is this true of the N8 Famicom cart as well? If I buy one from the Black Friday sale, are they all the updated version? What cart adapter do you recommend now, or do they all work now?

Guys, so I want to buy an N8 Pro Famicon to use on my NT Mini Noir and A/V Famicom AND on a Hi-Def NES (yes, I have all three for different reasons!).

1. So, has the compatibility with the Hi-Def NES been fixed?
2. Which adapter is the best one to get now?

Flex, did you get your system mailed off? I'm on v14 or v15 I think, so I haven't messed around with anything new, I just really enjoy when problems are figures out and fixed!

Great of you to do this, maybe I need to do it with my TG16 and Everdrive for that, it's never worked...

Also, Smoke Monster posted awhile ago about the SGX having a plastic post that starts pushing down on the PCB inside, lifting traces. I don't know how accurate this is (although I trust SM), as I removed my post just to be safe. Maybe it's causing this problem?

Well please do. I'm about 3 weeks away from my SGX, but when I get home I'll see if I can help in any way. I have both an RGB modded one and a stock one to help test. I also have two SGX games and a TED, 2.4 I think.
