Title: How do I copy Save RAM data to SD card?
Post by: Het_Nkik on September 04, 2012, 11:09 AM
SRAM is the save data for games that have a save feature, right?

When I go to the Toolbox and select the option to save SRAM to the SD card, it just brings me to the list of things I have on the SD card. I can't select a blank spot or anything to create a file of the SRAM.

Do I need to create a dummy file first for the SRAM to save over? If so, how should I create this dummy file?

I want to play another game that has a save feature but I don't want to lose my save data from the first game I was playing.

Help is appreciated.

You should use dummy file. Any file can be used as dummy file. size of dummy file should be not less than 32kbyte

Alright, that worked. Thanks for being so fast with the helpful responses, KRIKzz.

If anybody else is wondering, I just made myself a blank 32kilobyte file using this method here (http://www.softwaretipspalace.com/how-to/9-create-empty-file-with-specific-size.html) and then copied it a bunch and renamed each file the same as the games I was saving save data from. But kept them in a folder called "Saves" so I wouldn't confuse them : p
