Sweet! I wish I had that kind of money to buy it right now.

It's great that we finally have an ODE for the Sega CD, too many great games exclusive for it.

I think I would rather save money to eventually buy the MISTer, it gives me more options, but this is definitely on my wishlist.

I do not think it's appropriate to call this an ODE.

An ODE connects to an otherwise-intact system and solely replaces the disc interface. This is a full Sega CD simulation.

I don't quite know if it's possible, but if Terraonion (or Krikzz) offered a version of this that only replaced the CD drive and otherwise relied on having a Sega CD attached and used the chips inside it, I'd prefer that over the full Sega CD replacement.

I'd especially love it if it were cheaper.

It's the same price as the SSD3 for TG/PCE-CD.  I agree it would have been cool if someone had been able to make a hardware drive replacement, but that's a ton of work and development.  Plus, can any such device be plug n play?  At the end of the day, for me, it's simply a lack of a peripheral attachment.  I'm fine with that.  I'm still using the original controllers, audio/video output, etc., of the Genesis.  Like the Turbo-CD I don't need to buy the attachments at all, and can just spend on these things.

I was reading about it. It said that they plan to release an adapter to plug the Mega SD into the side slot of the Genesis so you can run CD/32x games. I wonder if you will just be able to use the Mega SD on said side slot????? When said adapter releases.

Yeah I put my order in yesterday semi-early after this announcement. I hope mine comes in the first wave! Even though I don't really need it haha. I want it for my Mega SG. I don't know why I buy this stuff considering  that I have an actual Genesis/Sega CD/32x combo hooked up right now. And about 40 real Sega CD games(Including Snatcher CIB with a flawless condition disc)

Anyone on here have one? Care to post a written review?

I'm kind of a Krikzz fanboy, so I might just wait till he releases his version.

Still waiting on mine as it has been held hostage by Andorran customs since the 25th of last month. Apparently it is on its way as of two days ago, but the tracking information on DHL's website hasn't updated from its original status from the 25th. There are a few reviews on YouTube from people that have received theirs in the past few days.

They're still working on new features in firmware upgrades, and the adapter to plug it into the expansion slot (for 32X CD games).  I won't get one until Stone Age Gamer makes them available.
