Cheats as TXT file
« on: July 29, 2013, 04:28 AM »
Just wondering if anyone's managed to set this up?  What do you name the file, can you put cheats in as one straight column?  And does the file go in with the OS folder or on the root of the SD?  And can ALL cheats go in one file, or do we need a seperate one for each game?

Sorry for all the questions, would be nice to just pick and choose what cheats you want and when.  Oh, and to have a few extra lives on battletoads  ;)

I found that you can browse with the cart in the NES, and select a txt file to load cheats from.

That's all I know, and I would love a more thorough explanation.

What txt file format, what code format, what kind of codes, code delimiting, etc.

8 bit ansi text format. halfs of code should be separated by "-" for example ZEXP-YGLA or SXI-OPA
does not matter how codes will be located inside of file.

Thanks very much for the help.  I am greatful that Krikzz spends so much time on these boards helping us all out.  I have 13 consoles hooked up right now (seriously) so the NES cheats mean I can drop in and out and just have some fun!

So is it one txt file per game? Or can you have one massive text file with all cheats?
