EverDrive GB / Re: help using GB X7
« on: August 01, 2020, 10:31 PM »
Just got an ED GB X7, but there is no manual and I can't find information on its use online. Like a manual, guide or something like that.

How do save states, in-game menu, and soft reset work? What buttons do I press?

Ignore that weird rambling message above.

To get to the in game menu, physically squeeze the top of your cartridge. You will hear it click and the in game menu will appear.

In the menu you can select to save states or return to the front end.

Note that a few games will not allow the use of the in game menu for technical reasons.

And not about damned emulators (again...)

yeah i noticed after looking at the list that the games using those missing mappers were licensed.
is it a case that all of them can not be supported on the carts we already have available? maybe some of them krikzz has not added support for yet. when it comes to extra hardware then that is a different matter.
all those unsupported mappers use extra hardware?

What is really weird is that goomba supported HUC1 meaning the game Daikijyuu Montigatari - Miracle of the Zone worked on it but the EDGB couldn't run it, their has been weird instances when emulators managed to load games that normally default consoles struggled to being complex mapper ones.

Dude, nobody's talking about emulators.

That’s awesome. Last I heard, the GBA can only run a select few SNES games properly, though.

Yeah. The ones that Nintendo ported. Lol

I think it means you should send your cart back for a replacement.  :)

6
Only via the goomba emulator for GBA (GC gameboy player).
The GBA x5 will not work on the Super Gameboy.

7
Honestly, you're not wrong. I do regret ordering it. These things are not cheap.

Then u should of got a EZ-Flash Omega then
thats a shit advice

YOU'RE a shit advice

The mini.
The first batch sold had badly soldered ram chips.
I think it's been fixed now.

9
i heard that gba x5 saves directly to sd card while gba x5 mini does not save directly to sd card

Incorrect.
The x5 definitely does not save directly to the sd card.

10
Other then size no difference

And dodgy soldering.

Likely not possible.
It's the same with every cart for every system that supports save states.
Some games just don't like being messed with.

EverDrive GB / Re: Will Krikzz ever fix the X7 cheat system?

Any comment Krikzz?
Is it possible to fix it?

Man, you better describe the problem than just bumping this thread. You literally give zero description of problem, so how should i fix something what i can't see?
Your link pointed on old topic related to first generation EDGB where people share the codes, not sure what should i look at there. Just in case i tried few codes listed in topic and they all working, included one for Super Mario Land which was stated as not working.
So i going to ask again: How reproduce the problem? Exactly game? Exactly code?

Hi Krikzz

I am away from home for work at the moment, but one code I remember not working was this invincibility code for Shantae 182-88A-4CA
From gamehacking.

I Tested on
Original EDGB: Shantae 182-88A-4CA infinite hearts works fine
X7: Shantae 182-88A-4CA infinite hearts doesnt works

Ok, seems i found the problem. Try this out guys: http://krikzz.com/pub/support/everdrive-gb/x-series/OS/GBC-OS-v1.04.zip

This works great.
Thanks Krikzz :-)

I will look on this problem.  For now you can use 3 button mode, seems like it fixes the problem in this game.

It's awful quiet in here...
Did you find a solution to this, Krikzz?

Receiver should be replaced if you have this problem

I see. So it's an actual hardware fault?
Is it the same issue with Samurai shodown?
