Yes, is the legit website. It's what is linked from the main page for the EverDrive 64 2.5.

Look for the Turbo EverDrive pack on You should be able to find the patched BIOS in there.

Depends on if you want to run a lot of expanded hacks. If you're just interested in the default NES library, the original model is fine. That's what I'm still rocking. I do wish I could play Metal Slader Glory on real hardware, but it's not worth me shelling out more right now to upgrade.

That said, I'm sure the Pro is a very nice piece of hardware.

I may check out that unoffical firmware.

And yep, definitely using the no-intro version. Was happy to see it's just a momentary problem - I'm sure once he rolls back around to it, the 3.X firmware will be excellent. (Seriously, KRIKzz is supporting so many carts!)

EverDrive 64 / EverDrive 64 2.5 and Donkey Kong 64

Hi, all, I was just testing out Donkey Kong 64 on my new ED64 2.5, and I get black-screen freezes when starting a new game (doesn't transition to intro). A reset will let you get in-game and past the intro, but entering Cranky's Hut will also freeze the game with a black screen. This is on OS 3.05, using both the No-Intro ROM and the confirmed good GoodN64 ROM (both same CRC).

On a whim, I dropped back to 2.13, and it seems to be working just fine. So I'm guessing something isn't quite right in the current OS version.

I would assume some sort of conversion to MMC5 might work. Not sure about other mappers, but MMC5 allows 1024KB PRG. Probably a lot of work getting the IRQs right, though.

EverDrive N8 / Re: Guerrilla War (USA) not working on N8 and N8 Pro

It seems to be working fine for me on a US frontloader and original N8 on the latest firmware. What's the CRC of your ROM? The one I'm using is 6DECD886.

Are we talking the US, NTSC version of ActRaiser 2? No freezing as far as I can tell on my US 2/1/2 SNES on an older SD2SNES (Rev. F I think) and the FuRIOUS firmware.

You can run Elmer's with the official one. Elmer's definitely has some advantageous.
Yeah, elmer had recommended not to make his firmware the default one, although I don't know if anything has changed on that front. Being cautious more than anything. So install the normal TBED firmware and use elmer's from there if you need it. I recommend it for backing up your save data!

Yeah, my understanding is that the Warrior 64 is just a re-shelled N64 with a LevelHike cable attached to the RGB output. Not great.

Well, you do get save states, it's just not guaranteed to work on every game depending on how they've been coded. The problem is that, unlike an emulator, the carts don't have full access to memory contents, so you can't truly fully restore a save state. You might get glitches like graphical corruption, sounds being off, or flat-out crashing. So it's very much a "your mileage may vary" situation.

As far as I know, the SD2SNES/FXPak supports it via the FURiOUS firmware, which I expect will eventually be folded into the official firmware. Mega EverDrive and EverDrive N8 also support, but again, all of them have the caveats above.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: SD2SNES now displays gibberish at startup
« on: December 01, 2020, 10:30 PM »
Yeah, the best way I find to update is to move my old firmware somewhere else in case something goes awry, and put in a clean copy. Then I just copy over the saves and various BIOS files needed.

Modifed post. Google is your friend - there are still plenty of places to get ROM packs.

Let's just say the INL dumper is quite a bit more complicated than the Retrode 2 for dumping. You definitely have to pay attention to all the settings, and even then, you might not get it to produce what you're expecting. It's easier with the new setup and the Lua scripts - that custom script language for the kazzo/anago setup was even more complicated.

I was looking last night for a Sunsoft-4 dump script, and I'm not entirely sure which one to use, if any of them work. There's an anago script for it, so if I get desperate I could try to port it over to the Lua format. Not sure it's worth it, though, for a game that I don't have any saves on and no particular nostalgia for (Maharaja).
