Mega EverDrive / Re: Do I Need The Sega CD?
« on: November 22, 2020, 11:28 PM »
You don't need the Sega CD to play Sega CD games.
You need the 32X attachment if you want to play 32X games though.

The side effect is, in addition to taking more than double the time to copy the decompressed data

It could be possible, the problem I see is this: to decompress the games it takes X amount of time on a modern PC, then on the Everdrive which obviously is less powerful than a modern PC, it will take many times longer.
People don't want to wait in order to play their games.

This is a good observation, you should take into account Krikzz's native language isn't english.
I hope he sees this and corrects the issue in the next OS update.

Are you talking about everdrive.me?
You'll have better luck shooting them an email asking.

EverDrive 64 / Re: Weird MicroSD Card Issue. Please Help!
« on: November 14, 2020, 12:07 AM »
Sometimes the Everdrive 64 refuses to work with some cards, even after formatting.
In these cases I've had luck using regular sized SD cards (NOT micro or mini SD).

If you can, take apart your 32X and clean both cartridge contacts using Isopropyl alcohol.
Also carefully clean and reseat all the flex cable connections.

I confirm those 1.6V are worth the price, everything works like a charm now
This is interesting, did you use Nickel Zinc batteries?

Try cleaning the cartridge contacts using Isopropyl alcohol or electronic contact cleaner.

Has anyone in the United States received their order yet?  My shipment was processed in Kiev on July 5 and I haven't seen a tracking update since.  I know shipping is slow right now, but at what point should I start to get concerned?
Wait at least 5 weeks.

StoneAgeGamer has the x5mini up on their site, and im keen to pick one up

It seems the same problem happens to both the regular Everdrive GBA X5 and the mini model.

Does that include refurbished devices that are not true AGS 101? I've been using a refurbished one aswell as a genuine one and have had no issue with power operation of the X5 GBA Everdrive.
Unfortunately you can't predict how the Everdrives will work with all the different clones and mods available.
Beware of buying chinese GBA clones or pristine looking GBA consoles especially coming from China.
They even have a GBASP with the innards of an original DS. :o

EverDrive 64 / Re: Trouble with new ED64 x7
« on: July 11, 2020, 03:04 AM »
This is the second x7 I purchased because I thought the first unit was defective.
Are you using the same console?
It could be that your N64 has some problem that doesn't affect regular games (or the ones that you have at least) and the Everdrive can't boot due to that. The problem could be located on the console itself or the power supply.

Try cleaning the cartridge contacts with Isopropyl alcohol.
I advise you to try another console and power supply if you can.

I want to know if Pokemon Stadium 2 still has a problem
Pokemon Stadium 2 on Everdrive 64 2.5?
YES, it still has some minor graphical errors.

Honestly, you're not wrong. I do regret ordering it. These things are not cheap.
Don't worry about it. IF its faulty you will get a working replacement.
