EverDrive N8 / Re: edn8 fw1.2 savestates not works sd defragged

N8-OG save state core expects PPU palette can be read back from PPU, but at least one PPU revision not allow read palette values from palette ram, it just return garbage values. Save states will not work properly on systems with such ppu revision. By the way, original famicom is the system where such ppu is the most common. I seen them personally only in og-famicom and in some clones.
Also cart saves system state and mapper registers, but does not save/restore ym2413 state, so audio glitches in lagrange point is quite possible.
yeah, the strange thing is that in a very few games the save state works

og-n8 losts screen colors when using save states if your system has early PPU revision which is not allows to read palette back from ppu. This for sure not related to sd or fragmentation. also og-n8 does not have amplifier for expansion audio so volume levels is limited, especially if you using og-famicom
understood..so is not fixable? why some games save states works fine?

edn8 fw1.2 savestates not works on super mario, contra, and many other games i tried. They glitch or black screen and only sound, i have original famicom with nesrgb
i also readed from krikkz about fragmenting but i done a defrag of the 4gb sd but nothing changed, how i can fix this? i assume that now savestates are working for all mappers as read me says

also lagrange point..intro sound is buzzing. at 160% volume is low, on the other end at 200 is huge and distorted and impossible to use, a way half is possible?

As I said, I have two tracks, one audio. On official pressed disk I bought from them. According to them the audio does notcome from audio cd tracks, but from the data partition. So reduced one should work too.
ok perfect thx

Reduced means it ONLY contains the files looked for by the game to play audio. The real one has MP3 soundtracks and banners + wallpapers included. The original has no audio cd tracks too btw. (Well, ONE where it tells you that this is a Sega CD disk and that in different languages)
there are 3 audio tracks + track1 data for mega cd. maybe track 3 and 4 (music) are used in the game or not? on full version cd

so for playing the game reduced is ok?

Ok, seems like i found the problem. I don't have a disk to check, but now game trying to detect disk at least. http://krikzz.com/pub/support/mega-everdrive/x3x5x7/OS/MEGAOS-V3.11.zip
thanks

works partially. the game now past the watermelon logo/check cd and red led light ok now, but menu have the standard md music not cd, in option menu on detect cd seems do nothing and no red led this time, in game menu the pcm music cannot be selected

Should be checked by ones who have proper disks. Could be related to bad disk
my disc is downloaded from official site http://www.piersolar.com/tmp/DiscAlternate.zip
of course the cd is readed fine in mega cd bios on real hw, have only 1 track of 34minutes circa

Isn't it should be something like bin/cue? Single iso file isn't describe tracks structure as far as i know and i guess there should be multiple tracks and not just one
edit: now works, was my cd that the first time after the burning give some little read problem, now the same cd works fine at every boot
thanks krikkz :) :)
i have burned iso file only and it works no problem, i want to know what they mean with the word "reduced version" about the cd iso..

I have also checked my enhanced soundtrack CD with the reprint edition of the Pier Solar cartridge and with Mega Everdrive v2 + No-Intro ROM Rev. A. With the reprint cartridge it works perfectly, but with the Mega Everdrive v2 it does not. I have Mega CD model 1, and I have found that if the reprint cartridge is used, even if there is no CD in the Mega CD, when the games starts I can see the green READY and the red ACCESS lights on the Mega CD. However if I use the Mega Everdrive v2, all lights are black on the Mega CD. It seems to me if Mega CD model 1 is used, the ROM cannot access it.
so it's a problem of the megaeverdrive, that game is a lot protected  :(
waiting a fix from krikzz :)

edit:

no one readed the iso read me? what mean reduced? its just a demo of the full soundtrack or is a cd rip?:

I'd just like to say a great big THANK YOU to KRIKzz for 1) implementing Pier Solar support and 2) implementing proper support for the enhanced soundtrack disc. I just installed the OS update, fired up my CDX, inserted the soundtrack disc and BOOM all is working great.
One question, will it ever be possible for game save to work without a console reset?

Mega-ed v2/x7 can't save eeprom saves without reset
on my mega everdrive v2 the games works but the burned cd soundtrack not (mega cd light on only the ready led but not the access led), have you tested it? i have a jap mega drive and jap MCD1

Well, before my official pack arrived in the past I tinkered with the real cart and had a quite massive fight to get it working. WHICH image did you use? That one? http://www.piersolar.com/tmp/DiscAlternate.zip (official one AND official link!) http://www.piersolar.com/skin/aboutgame/esd_madeathome_lightscribe.jpg (official Lightscribe Artwork)
Try different burning apps. I am a big fan of IMGBurn but ppl in the now-dead official forums claimed Nero being a good idea here. I will try my official disk later today and tell ya.

EDIT: OK, tested newest firmware and Reprint A ROM no-intro verified. All works fine. Thus you made a burning error or used a wrong ISO.

Hi Dreimer, i used the image i found on this site:  https://edgeemu.net/details-17799.htm, i'm burning a new disc with the image from the link you posted

EDIT: Didn't work. Tried all the No Intro ROM files of the game, burned a disc with the image from watermelon site, tried two different burners and nothing. The only thing i can't try right now is a different brand of CD R, however my sega CD reads everything i burn with the CD R brand i'm using (Imation). And my sega CD is working fine too.

Well in that case maybe @mario64 has a idea? I use the official disk and it works.
your burned cd works or the original one? with the mega everdrive? on my jap megadrive mega cd model1 didn't work too. the game itself works, but if i put the cd in it light on the green led on the mega cd but not the access led wich is strange a lot and remain like this.
